<p>I am sorry that you had a bad transaction. eBay is like that - you never know what you get until you receive it. However I don't see anything that the buyer did wrong. They offered a 14 day return period and you made the decision not to return it but to fix the lens. It is not the buyers fault that it would have cost you $40 to ship back the lens. However I do think that you were a little heavy handed with your posting as you make it sound like this buyer was trying to scam you.</p> <p>I am happy for you that you are satisfied with the lens now, even after having to shell out additional money. <p>Based on what you shoot, I would seriously consider a good sturdy tripod. That can cost $500 - $1,000. Also look at getting a remote trigger with that.</p>

<p>I use both Crashplan as well as local backups to my NAS. Having redundant and automatic systems is key when doing backups.</p>
