Gail and Scott, Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I learned a lot about the differences in the power of b&w vs color. They each have their strengths. In the time I spent working on this image I think I am starting to understand (just starting mind you) how to use the impact of b&w. I hope to continue my understanding of it, I find it amazing. This was one of many images of my friend’s daughter and their new puppy. I chose this image to portray the bond between a girl and her puppy. They seem to be in tune with each other sharing the same expression. The color version was nice but I find monochrome to be more impactful for this image. Would like to hear your thoughts.
