The fact that you are getting non bird pic lovers praising this photo tells me that you don't me to tell you that this is a great capture. But I will anyway. Great Shot!

Thanks Ron. I am posting a shot that I took earlier that is closer to the tree. See what you think.

Great color! All the light coming from the plant?

This was taken last night (December 27th) near Mojave. The colors and contrast could have
been pumped up a bit, but I didn't want to darken the sky too much so the Joshua tree could
still contrast with the sky.
All coments welcome.
Thanks,
Jim

Great color. Hard to beat Velvia on 6x7 on up. I really like the branch reflection in the foreground pool of water.
-
I won't rate this one either. The unmanipulated one I would rate 7/7. Excellent shot. The unmanipulated one.

Looks like it needs levels or contrast adjustment. I like the composition.

I like the way the image tells a story about age.
Good timing, composition, and lighting also

Nice to see a different view of Mono Lake.
Question: Did you do anything to increase dynamic range?
-
First off, this is a great shot. How did you get ligh on the seashell? Did you bracket exposure and combine the images? Use a reflector? Whatever you did, it looks very natural. Again...great shot.

This is dedication. First, I have a deep respect for anyone who has mastered large format. Not to mention that you probably got your tripod soaked. But this image cought me because of the power of the water in motion. Well done.

Great shot.

Excellent shot. Great light.

Excellent shot. The swirling leaves at the foreground opening up the photo to a mirrored image of the trees with the soft light bringing out the detail of the rocks. Well done!
