I am working with the color on this shot. It was shot near dusk. Is

the color pleasing? I am red-green color blind and trying to get

better with other than daylight type shots. See details for

technique. In the future I want to start shooting a grey card as

well. Thanks for commenting?

Thanks for commenting, Jim. This is the 2nd scan of this ... and I am still not happy. I agree with your comment. I believe that I need to tone down the white on the church and bring up the grass a little? I'll retry later this week. I was just pleased that I was finally scanning after being off the air for about 6 weeks and wanted to get something up on PN.

Thanks Kurt ... I am presently reading Bruce Fraser's book on Color Management. I have now bought a GretagMacBeth monitor profiling instrument and am trying to actually check the color from my scanner (you might have read a question I had about being color blind!) ... so doing mechanical things to get color 'true' is important. Hopefully, I will be back scanning more production work soon. This chapel shot was a 'quick' shot that I could put up saying that I was still 'around and kicking'! Thanks again for dropping by ...

A great photographer once wrote

"But I also believe in upholding the quality of the site.

PN is not a place to merely submit just any old street
shot, poor technical quality shots (under or over exposed
or with poor focus), nonselective travelogue or immature
compositions. Try to be unique, exhibit an exceptional
technique with maximal benefit from lighting, aperture or
shutter selection."

I totally agree!!
