1.
Thanks Bill - actually, the third one is a different actress (rather minor supporting role) who spent most of the time on the sidelines...

 2.
Spot-on timing, Bill...just like human teens, noisy and soon bigger than the parents!

 3.
Yawning or roaring, I'm not quite sure, Alex! Good timing!
Last month I tried Fujichrome Provia 400X for the first time, and liked it a lot. Expensive film, but the colours are very good for my taste, and it scans a lot more easily than color negative film for me at least. All shots are of Japanese theatre with the ever wonderful nFD 200/2.8 IF, aperture wide open and handheld at 1\250:

 4.
A beautiful shot against the bokeh green.

 5.
Thanks Bill - it was actually my 11 y.o. daughter's suggestion, so I'll pass on your thumbs-up to her :)

 6.
That's about as close as that cat and bird should be allowed to get to each other...(both great shots!)
Sakura season has come and gone here; only had cloudy weather on my shooting days, so had to focus on details:

 7.
Perhaps, Bill, they get equally philosophical when they see you lurking about with an FD lens on a digital body; two dissimilar species but also side x side in harmony :)

 8.
The birds around your place seem to have a lot of personality, Bill, and you capture them great. Do you give them names?

 9.
Nice work, Jim - it's very sculptural; lighting is the key to a shot like this, and I think you nailed it.

 10.
Thanks Gary - the Close Up lens 500 is most likely not anywhere near the same league as a proper FD Macro lens, but is a relatively cheap and certainly compact and lightweight alternative to carry around in the bag, just in case. I have a 72mm version which fits on the 35-105/3.5 and 200/2.8, and use a stepping ring to put it on the 50/1.4, on which it also seems to work fine.

 11.
Young plum flowers in early spring:

 12.
Enjoy that 20-35, Alex...I've wanted one of those for decades!
Apologies, yet another view of Mt Fuji to begin this month:

 13.
Scary but certainly magnificent...thanks for sharing these, Bill!

 14.
Well, we are lucky that you share your acorns with us - thanks very much.

 15.
Brilliant shot, Bill.
You should seriously consider publishing a book...

 16.
Detail of shrine building on Mt Takao:

 17.
Souvenir food bags on Mt. Takao:

 18.
Having bought the FD 20mm over ten years ago, I hardy ever use my cheap FD 28mm any more, so thought I'd take it out to Tokyo Tower recently:

 19.
Stunning work, Bill, just beautiful.
Your shots just get better and better...thanks very much for sharing with us (the envious ones!)
