    A very interesting and original idea. I like the interplay between the scroll forms. The rain in the background takes away from the abstract perfection of the shot, but it does lend it a touch of realism.

    African School Girl
    A delightful picture! You have at the same time captured the innocence but also the mischievousness of kids in primary school. At least it could be construed that way: the girl delighting in what school is supposed to be about - learning - while the boy is using it to have fun. Does this also say something about gender roles? My wife and I work in Cameroon with local languages and so are also involved in education, specifically in primary schools. I've put a few photos in my Photo.net workspace just to test the water. No school photos yet, but maybe later.

    I love taking portraits and I think you have succeeded in creating something very beautiful here. The lighting, gentle colours and the pose are all just perfect.

    A neighbour woman in the African village where we used to work. When she saw the photo, she said she hadn't even noticed me taking it, so it is completely natural.
