  1. Great capture Donna! I love how he is engaged in this shot, and that he is surrounded by his colorful paintings! I love his work and would have not been able to walk away without making a purchase! Did you get his name per chance? Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)

  6. Very beautiful and sentimental image of this young man and his best friend. Lovely tones and composition. I love the way they are facing and looking at each-other; great moment and relationship caught. Lovely, lovely work! Thank you for sharing. :)

    .

This snake does not appear to be as friendly as the little green snake on which I just commented! Great detail and light. He seems a little curious but mostly on guard and ready to let you know this is his territory! I'd back up slowly and head out of there if I saw this guy! Very well done! Thank you for sharing. :)
  9. I must agree with Carlos on this one; there is definitely something friendly about this little guy. Even though he blends in so well with the surroundings, you still achieved great detail in the snake. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
  10. Wonderful capture Alf! I love the drama and atmosphere the dark clouds provide against that blue sky! The golden light is gorgeous! I really can't wait until the day I can plan my trip over there to the UK and hopefully I will be able to see for myself some of these lovely places you have photographed so beautifully! I love the white house nestled in at the base of the hills - I can just imagine a nice hot cup of tea waiting for me when I walk through the door! Very well done and beautiful as always! Thank you for sharing. :)
  11. Oh no, you do not have to be a "guy" to enjoy military movies! I grew up sitting with my dad watching the old WWII documentaries on tv every weekend! Very fond memories of those days with my dad and I have a deep admiration and respect for people who make sacrifices for the welfare of others. I find history very interesting, especially military history and it carries over to my interest in war movies. I have quite a collection of history books on WWII, Civil War, Revolutionary War, Gulf War and Vietnam War. Some were my father's, who served in the navy in Okinawa as a dentist before starting his private practice in California. I'm just about as girlie as a girl gets so it's just an assumption these movies are only for the "guy's".  :) Keep bringing us these beauties! Thanks again for sharing. :)
  12. "The Longest Day" is another great movie I own and was directed (or was it produced?)  by the same guy as "Tora! Tora! Tora!". I didn't mention it because I only listed the movies I have been watching over the past few days. I have it in VHS format and don't have a VHS player so I can't watch it now. :(  I also have Memphis Belle and many other great movies. I need to either get a VHS/DVD player or start updating my library of war movies. :) I absolutely agree "The Longest Day" is a great movie! So many sacrifices by great men!

    CHICAGO

Lovely light and detail in this night shot of Chicago! Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)

    A Tulip

Beautiful tulip. I like the bokeh and horizontal frame; bokeh gives a feeling to the photo like the tulip is looking down on a city at night from a hilltop. Lovely work! Thank you for sharing. :)

    A Sunset Port

I can understand what the previous review said but I like the big gull at the top of the photo; I think it gives a somewhat abstract edge or Alfred Hitchcock (The Birds) feel to the image. If you were looking to make this more of a classic image then the first review has a valid comment and I suspect that is where he is coming from. Nice capture! Thank you for sharing. :)
  16. Very nice portrait! I really like the title - gives this portrait a special meaning. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
  17. Wonderful capture! I love the inclusion of the birds as we can see their perspective. I like how the boats fade away into the fog. Lovely work and composition! Thank you for sharing. :)
  18. Beautiful work! Clouds and smoke captured very well and really make for a good atmospheric photo! Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
  19. I love this shot of Tapsu in a reflective moment. Great capture of him which just confirms what an intelligent and thoughtful companion he is! :)  Nice color in this one - I like how the vignette gives a purple-rosy edge to the photo. Tapsu looks beautiful and regal in his "office". Very well done and beautiful shot! Thank you for sharing Tapsu with us again! :)
  20. I like how the curves of the wall bring me into his space - as if I am physically present and being drawn in by the music and somehow the curves of the wall and doorway, the drape of the curtains, flow together with the music I am hearing. I am imagining a grand composition being performed in a grand room. Love the reflection in the mirror and the sconce on the wall. Great atmosphere and well done! Thank you for sharing. :)
  21. Very nice shot that appeals to my curiosity. I think you've done a great job with the sky. I notice the fields behind the structure are gold while the grass nearby is green and mowed so it appears someone is taking care of this property. Maybe it used to be a caretakers cottage on the property. Interesting capture. Thank you for sharing. :)

    Reduce stress !

Great shot of the current times! I find "smart phones" to be very stupid and therefor stressful! Lol! I often think I was meant to live in another era such as the 40's or 50's but I am very grateful for the technical advances of our age now, especially in medicine. I like the quick way in which things can be resolved these days but everything can have a hidden side or danger. So much good can come from technology but unfortunately so much brain waste is happening. Nice shot Tamara; let's hope technology isn't wasting this young man's brain but for some reason, he doesn't appear to be the typical young person so often seen attached to his/her device. Hopefully he is reading something of importance and not something on the Kardashian's or other nonsense. Very well done with nice composition. Thank you for sharing. :)
  23. Beautiful shot of this plane against that cloudy sky. I just watched that movie the night before last! It's great you mentioned the movie "Tora! Tora! Tora!"; one of many favorite (war) movies of mine. I understand for the movie they had to build zero's from AT6's because part of the agreement in the peace treaty was for Japan to surrender and destroy all airplanes. The producer bought a whole bunch of old AT6's and had them modified and painted to be exact replicas of the zero's. Painstaking work in the production of that movie to achieve historical accuracy and I think it paid off well. Anyway, great shot; love the blur of the propellers. Very well done. Thank you for sharing. :)
  24. Beautiful shot! I love the dramatic sky and atmosphere! Great choice for b/w too. I've been watching lots of old WWII movies the past few days (Battle of the Bulge, The Eagle has Landed, Battle of Britain, Tora! Tora! Tora!, Patton, In Harm's Way, The Flying Leathernecks, They Were Expendable, Operation Pacific, Back to Bataan) so this comes as quite a treat to see this beauty! Very well done photo! Thank you for sharing. :)

    I want to fly too!

Wonderful photograph! I love the freedom in this image! Great title and nice choice for b/w. Very well done and enjoyable capture! Thank you for sharing. :)
