Must have = kiss
I'm paranoid about not getting this so I make sure I'm always ready for it

lesson- buy a shootsac and carry everything in there

I wouldn't put anything like that in the contract. I always meet the couple first and if I have a bad feeling about them, I don't book them.

Yeah this happened to me in June. I was on my way to an engagement photoshoot and an SUV got hit and flipped over twice and landed almost on top of my car. I was sooo shaken but reacted appropriately calling 911 and trying to help the guy. I think my EMT training helped with that because while a lot of people stood there in shock not moving, I immediately thought of what I could do to help.

1) call 911
2) turn of the car so it doesn't explode with the leaking gas
3) The guy is trapped, can he move his head?

Etc...

But needless to say I was extremely shaken and didn't want to do the photoshoot. But since I've been doing a lot of yoga lately I did breathing exercises and tried to stay in the moment. The photoshoot turned out pretty good and the guy in the car was ok.

I would do it if you paid for the flight :)

I love this shot!! So you have a radio popper and the off camera flash? Did you diffuse the off camera flash?

I was thinking about shooting at malls! They have such cool backgrounds like at the starbucks in the mall or even outside of certain malls. I'm going to give it a shot this winter ;)

Hello,
I am new to wedding photography and I do move around too much in ceremonies. I try not to, but sometimes I feel like I have to. I'm also afraid of missing shots so I will sacrifice someone getting mad at me to make sure I get the shots. For example Saturday I had a wedding where there was no center aisle. Basically there were two aisles and seats in the middle with guests and the B&G were in the middle. So I had to stand in front of the guests in aisle seating. I apologized to them, but its something I HAD to do even with my 70-200.

Maybe Richard Simmons has a PS action to get rid of her double chin ;)

Sure, you can edit any photo she likes...

....for $100 per image.

I now have over 30,000 wedding photos in my lightroom catalog. Apparently that's too many and it won't let me import any more. But the only way to delete the photos is to backspace each photo then hit delete? Does that mean I have to do that 30,000 times? Is there an easier way?

Thanks everyone for your comments!! For some reason, on my blog the colors look different than when they are added to this forum. It looks very over saturated to me. I took a ton of pictures by this wall with a tighter crop but for some reason the above one was my favorite. I like the wider look but I should have used the rule of thirds.

What about this one... Also, I think I have a bad eye for blown out highlights bc I thought her dress looked ok with the details of the wrinkles in it?

If I could go back in time I would only get the 35mm, 50 1.2 L and the 70-200 2.8 for lenses

What about these? (please note they are not edited)

Scott,

Just because I like shooting in 2.8 doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing. CLEARLY if I shot in 1.8 in the first image and everyone stated it IS in focus at 100% crop, then it's my post processing.
Shooting in Siena Italy, any tips?
