What distracts me is that "somthing' orange in his mouth. I was looking at Greyhound Bus Driver. This reminds me of that but "that" is technically much better. -
John, of the two, I like this much better and seems the better for "study in gray" I like the door in scene the front side of the boy and the boy sees sharper. Maybe focus all around is better

Looks like ice by the dumpster? his clothes would indicate that he is not homeless. what he intends to do with the box? you mighgt have seen where he was headed.

I like the blur in the scene. Gives a good "motion" effect. The movement traces of the street lights sort of take away from the effect. Maybe remove them with photo shop? -
the no crossing light "hand" catches my attention. -
Reminds me of Dorthea Lange's work during the "great" from the 1930s. Unfortunate I think that the white clothing are in the photo on the left and right because the whites washed out..
