Good shot. I like the composition you created with the surfer and the wake behind him. My only suggestion would be shooting at another time of the day to get a little bit better light which will give you better colors to the water.

Beautiful color to the wave. It has a nice symmetrical feel to the long panorama.

I like the whitewater of the background as a bakcdrop for this move. The black and white version doesn't work as well for me as the color of the board and uniform provides a nice contrast with the background.

In semi pulled back views, I kind of like to see the bottom of the wave to really judge the size. These waves have been large enough that you should show them in all their glory. I was there yesterday and will be there today too and these waves are some of the best waves for the US Open in many years. In terms of the action, it is well captured and at a peak moment.

Thanks everyone. I did not use a flash but I did help with the catchlight a little with a simple dodge of the preexisting catchlight.

A cute image of a mother and her ducklings. The low angle is a nice point of view for this photo. The light also brings out the colors.

Low light panning of this bird in flight. It looks a little bit better viewed larger.

Found a nice pond where these birds cluster together. I wasn't sure of the species. It
is a higher ISO than I usually shoot. Are the technicals on this photo high or not?

Thanks Didi. Which part? Possibly the sky/clouds?

I shot polo once, and I think to the polo fans, this would be a well received image. It catches a unique moment. Maybe even non polo players will chuckle at the two looking at the ball behind them.

Thanks everyone. Again, any suggestions for improvements. Is it "overdone"? Is it too dark? Please let me know.

I appreciate any suggestions for improvement in composition, cropping and exposure.
Some burning and dodging was performed on this photo.

Piers are not as interesting as lighthouses for me. This structure looks like it could be a nice leading line to the lighthouse on a different spot on the pier. To me, it seems a shame that I can see this bold red lighthouse but it is very tiny in the distance. I don't think the graphic nature of the structure is enough to support this photo by itself as the dominant feature.

I am not so sure this falls into fine art, but it makes a nice travel photo.
