Well then I think you have a winner because I first saw it as a little thumbnail on the children's critique forum page and it jumped right out at me. :-)

I thought I'd try a different post processing style compared to my other

work for this one. I think it works considering the subject but I'd love to

know what you think. Thanks for your time. :-)

I agree with Juan, this is a beautiful shot! It's all about texture: the sweater, the jeans, the logs, the grass, the sky... all gorgeous.

My recommendation is to crop out the stump on the left because its brightness was drawing my eye away from the main subject and then just leaving it hanging there wanting to see the rest of the stump. I really liked that tuft of grass on the foreground log though because it adds character and points back to the child... so I moved it over and cropped out the stump. Great job!

This is an outtake from my Mother's Day photo shoot. While not

a "traditional" portrait, it was my personal favorite. Thanks for looking :-)

My goal was to take a nice portrait of my children for their grandmothers

for Mother's Day. I learned that trying to photograph more than one child

at a time is not as easy as it might seem. Simply trying to get them to

look at the camera at the same time was a huge challenge and getting

a natural smile on demand was nearly impossible. I captured this shot

after I told them we were done. They started wrestling around on the

grass and I was able to get their attention for about 5 more shots.

    Thanks for looking! :-)
