    Pansy Flowers

Interesting and creative use of Pixel Bender. I like the color harmony and shapes, as well as the painting like effect. Interesting that there is always the shape of a Butterfly on this species of flower. Creative and pleasing work Pierre. Best regards. Dara

Expressions beautifully captured as well as the creative lighting on the Lady's face. I like your black and white images, here white contrasts with white...clever and Congratulations

It is clever work multiple exposure using only reflections in windows rather than doing it with your camera. If your camera has the possibility for double/multiple exposure in the first place (with/ in camera multiple exposure I find it is not always so easy, for example lighter over darker image and tones etc) Then if using Photoshop, Corel etc to superimpose two or more images as layers then it is more Graphics rather than just instant photography, as there are no real correlations in time fractions among other things. I also agree with some of the comments above that red hooded man/woman perhaps/does destract, yet a human element is helpful to this image... Anyway a very artistic image Congratulations.

  1. Good capture and striking street image/work, the blue eyes say a lot on the beautiful woman and are in contrast among other things to the surroundings and her dark clothes. Sharper focus on eyes would have been perhaps better, but does not detract from the mood in my opinion. I personaly prefer the color version over B/W. If it helps and you wish to do so, the color cast from street fluorescent lighting can be corrected in image editing software such as photoshop, Lightroom, Paint Shop Pro etc. etc. :-} regards

  2. I do not believe that it was photoshopped to death, if it was so the informed and expert photographers here would have mentioned that from the beginning in their discussions. You are not only wasting their time and mine but you are beginning to insult us with your comments. You only show me a few images of a lopsided cathedral in England (in your Portfolio) where as I have seen the best from real British/English photographers and elsewhere about Cathedrals and Churches in the United Kingdom who photographed them excellently. I have seen the best here in other images as well from Great Britain and elsewhere. So be wise and think about it. Peace. This is a discussion about photography on a forum above all. Be peaceful and open minded and try to contribute. The examples for you are the well written by not only your intelligent fellow country men and women, but from nationaties in all countries whom I respect. Think about it Kindly and openly. Regards and Respect. Dara

The right to express yourself openly, this is what your image tells me in one way among the many other things it made me think about. It shows part perhaps a large fraction of real everyday life in the United States of America and the real life that is there and not just about only very clean shaven men wearing suits. Or beautiful perfect looking women in Hollywood shows or TV who look like Barby Dolls sometimes without a soul.  Here I like the tilted camera angle and it is ok becouse this is on the street and in most places in the world the streets are really strange, beautiful, tilted, violent, exciting sometimes peaceful or full of dangerous possibilities like in this image, if not so at least in our own minds. I like the expression on the Girl"s face looking directly at the lens of your camera she has something special about her and I do not mean that which only appeals to a man but her expression is very meaningful and deep and the way she looks at your camera in a thoughtful profound way guarding the man wth her hand. It is hard to explain. There is much character in your image. The man to the left is wearing rouge and has a hidden yet inquisitive expression behind sunglasses. Perhaps ready to say something. The black and white tones are very clear and well done in your image. This image makes me think and ask a lot of questions about the people in it and what was going on. I like your work. Unique and Excellent Thanks for sharing. Regards Dara

  3. I leave the interesting and informative discussion, that I have also been following here on the technicalities of this image etc. To the experts.
However, I think it is a beautiful, artistic and unique image. Interestingly composed with lighting and colours that are particularly impressive, with a certain style that marks your images. Congartulations and Best regards. Dara- (And now a few words to you in Farsi my friend)

Outstanding Travel or Feature photography. Strong and effective colour contrasts and creative composition. Perhaps a little more genourous with the crop and more of the sky? Thanks for sharing. D

They belong in the wilderness in their enviroment. This habit of bringing wild animals to show to people or put in Zoos was done by old colonialist powers mostly europeans to show it to their people in the 19th century. Today there is internet you can see them living in their own habitat without disturbing them and their god given freedom. This image tells me much about the sadness this beautiful Lion feels about not being free. I think you have captured the expression excellently. I want to look away in shame. We humans are unhappy and always make other beings unhappy. It makes me very sad to see this. Thanks for sharing this effective image and being a voice for them. It makes me think. regards Dara
