1.
A friend invited me to a Balloon Fest that he was flying in. I arrived just as the competition was beginning. As the morning competition was finishing I took a couple more of my friend's balloon and later noticed the moon in the background.
2.
While staying in Pensacola Beach, Florida, we dined at a restaurant that had an old truck sitting out front with a Budweiser sign in the front seat. I went back late one night and photographed the sign and then played around in Photoshop until I got the result that I'm posting.

00btPW-541786984.jpg.68706dc499ae62506ed86c4470e420ce.jpg

 3.
I'm especially pleased with the photo. I knew I was getting a flair off the grill but never thought it would be so intense. There is no Photoshop or plugin enhancement for the photo other than, I blurred the background. The red & black grill badge says Buick 8.

00bptz-541423684.jpg.269fb37e3e803cb81a5a766234665fd1.jpg

 4.
Thanks.... I've contacted B&H and they will back the product. I had hoped someone knew of a second setting in the menu that I was missing. The Vello grip I had for my D90 was outstanding and I expect that I will be pleased with the replacement for the D7000. If someone knows of an error on my part, please let me know!
Thanks!!!

 5.
I purchased a Vello Grip for my D7000. In the camera menu I set the battery order to use the grip (MB-D11) first. Both batteries are Nikon EN-EL15. Until recently I never ran the grip battery so low that it would switch to the camera battery. I was on a shoot and the grip battery got so low that the shutter froze. I was under the impression that once the grip battery got low, the camera would automatically switch from the grip battery to the camera battery. Does this sound normal? Am I not doing something or missing something?

 6.
When I set up my new D7000 I set the quality to RAW and the second memory card to overflow.
Yesterday I was shooting bracketed. When I looked at my photos, I found that each shot was duplicated: one in RAW and there was a second photo in JPEG. I thought I had somehow changed the settings but after checking, in each case I was shooting ONLY in RAW and the second memory card was set to overflow.
Has anyone had this problem or does anyone know how this could happen?
An help will be most appreciated.
