it's a very good portrait iwth excellent lighting and great tonality. Having said that, I think it needs a bit of colourcorrecting behind her head. Great one tough. Groeten, Ton

It's a great portrait with fantastic lighting. The fact that the face is slightly out of focus adds to the overall mood you're conveying. It's great work by any standard. Groeten, Ton

Bob I like this kind of photography. You've got two great characters here. I don't mind that much about your background, you know yourself that that could have been better (altough it hasn't to be perfect for me). However, I do think that this photo lacks something important. I would like to have seen a bit more of their eyes or they should have put some sunglasses on. As it is it could have ben a lot better. it's a great photo for all the above mentioned reasons. But I really have been in doubt whether I really mind that it is slightly out of focus and the answer is no, I don't mind that much (I even surprised myself there). But looking at it for that long drew my attention more and more to the right pillar and You should darken that down for two reasons: it will draw less unwanted attention and it will create more depth.

There is some nice light here, but it's overprocessed. Over the top and it doesn't need it.

Like you said, just a bit of fun,no harm in that. I think however that you know to well how much this is over the top. I've got doggies too and know all the temptations (I succeeded so far in resisting them) of doing just what you did. Bottomline is you've got one great portrait of your dog so get rid of that ugly, screen exploding yellow and show us the real one. Great image, great dog.

looking forward to it and my wife is very relieved. Regards, Ton

as a Paris fan I know that it takes a lot of creativity to find an original angle on all those touristic highlights, but here that's just what you succesfully did. It's a great composition. However, I think if you would improve the contrast it would be even better because now it's a little too grey for my taste. Wouldn't have minded tough to have made it myself.

It's a great image, which for me sums up the Paris feeling. I've been in Paris lots of times over the years and this for me is one great shot, altough I would prefer some desaturation if not a total b&w conversion. If I had made it, it would be hanging on my wall. Great one.

I'm not into ropes or hoses and to be quite frank I don't really care. What I do care about is that this is one great image. However, dark times or not, I'm not too fond of that greyed out snow. Altough it's quite possible that it's just like you have seen it, I think your image would improve if you increased the contrast a little.

in more ways then one this is a very interesting photo. It lacks focus and contrast and is tilted to the right. If this is one of your favourites I really can't understand why you don't put some extra work in it because in a way you're right, it's all there. It's your picture tough which means you have to decide and as a general rule I'm not one to alter someone else's photo's. But in this case I just can't help myself and want to offer some humble advice: Correct the perspective, crop out the top beam, convert it to mono and push the contrast. In that case the lack of focus could even add to the mood. Now, I've said it. Hope you don't bite my head off (my wife would't appreciate that).

why would you do that? First of all it decreases your contrast and secondly I see no reason why tis photo would need that.

beautifully composed but I think you would have needed some light here. I think the tones are a little bit too greyed out. All in all however it's a good one.

it's a great image by any standard. Good one.

I know Brugge like I know my hometown. It's one of the best shots of Brugge I've seen in years. A little burning on the pedestal tough could improve it even more. Great job.
