As you correctly noticed this work required much less intervention than the "Watcher". I also have several portraits from this series which were good right out of the camera. The portraits were made in complete darkness using only a small led torch. I find that the led light produces interesting tones and shadows...

And once again thanks for you commnets Stephen... :)

AJ, Brent, Pierre, Anonymous, Linda.... thank you very much for your comments! I'm glad you like the photo....

Brent, thanks for your suggestions. I tried several crops and this one somehow fell in most confortably... for no particular reason, I must admit... just instinct...

Thank you very much for you comment Stephen!

If you look at the original shot it is a catastrophe which I am definitely not proud of... but... for better or for worse, I have a habit of sometimes refusing to quit even on the worst of shots curious if I can extract something of value.

In this case it was worth the effort...

I first used a radical crop to isolate the interesting (and usable) features, then I used the Shadow/Highlight filter to bring out the face, Dodged the eyes which were way to dark, softened the whole work and finaly convereted it to BW.

Due to the very tight crop i dicided to place the picture on a thick frame and off-center to give it some spacial dynamic.

    Thats the whole story... :)

    Thanks once again!
