Only the chandelier is real, the rest is painted. The U.U. church

I love seascapes and this captures the power of the water nicely. There may be a bit too much sky as there is a large blank spot above the waves and rocks. For me, a bit distracting. Maybe a tighter crop with a little beach or something else in the foreground to lead our eye to the waves crashing on the rocks. Nice image!

This is the classic image of mountaineering and you have captured the elements in great style. Height, exposure, cold and difficulty are all contained. Well done!

Thanks, I'm heading back to catch some blues at this same spot in a week or two, so I will try this shot again with your suggestions!

Wonderful light and composition. I like the point of view as well. One of my favorite photos of a favorite place, well done!

Hi, Gail,
Snow can be tricky to expose as your camera's light meter will want to underexpose it, but you have done a fine job here and the snow is nice and white. The comp is good as well with just enough snow at the bottom of the photo and sky at the top. The three darker images (trees) are good as well as 3's are always good in a comp. The sky is a little blown out, but it still works balance-wise with the snow at the bottom. The trees are nice and sharp and appear to be in focus. I also like the shadows in the snow as it breaks up the swatch of white.
A little more contrast may help such a photo and shooting in late afternoon or early morning light will always help. What time of day did you capture this?
You can never go wrong with a polarizing filter or a graduated neutral density filter either. Bryan Peterson talks about these in his seminal book, Understanding Exposure.
Very nice all in all and keep it up!

Well done. And, you're right, these shots are hard to get, but you did a nice job on this one. Congrats.

Wonderfully lit and great sharpness, well done.

Composite winter photo. C&C's always appreciated!

Very nice, I like the sky color and saturation. I would try a graduated neutral density filter the next time to get more detail in the shoreline and structures. Nice capture!

Seascapes are indeed my favorite, and this is one of the best! Great work, great DOF, color and softness. Truly leads my eye into the image. Great image.
