The birds really make this one work for me and the B&W really adds a great mood. Also love the way you've used the fence to lead you into the shot. Could just be my eyes but is the picture a bit tilted? Great image regardless. 6/6 from me (anon)
  1. Thanks for your helpful critiques of this image. I am new to the world of B&W photography and find your comments extremely helpful. I have re-worked this image taking your points onboard and will re-post shortly for further critique. Thanks again. Isabella.

Such a lovely shot and a refreshing approach to a very often captured scene. I can't believe I didn't get to see this on my trip to Scotland earlier this year! Gives me another reason to go back again! Well done and cheers from Australia, Isabella.
  2. I spied this old rundown cemetary on the way to the Isle of Skye from

mainland Scotland earlier this year and thought I'd have a go at

converting it to B&W. What are your thoughts? I really appreciate your

comments and critiques. Cheers from Australia, Isabella.

  3. Thanks heaps for your comments on this one. I'm somewhat new to converting pics to B&W so am really learning as I go here. I do agree with you in that the image does appear a bit too dark so this is now something I will look to correct. Thanks again and cheers from Australia, Isabella

Bravo. What a great shot! I love how the large rocky landscape seems to dwarf the village below. The clouds are quite imposing as well. Cheers from Australia Isabella
  4. This shot was taken on Christmas morning 2007 on the Kilkeel River N.

Ireland. I'd always struggled to get the post processing right on this

shot when working with colour so I thought I might try it in B&W. What

are your thoughts? I really appreciate your comments and critiques.

Once again a great image from yourself. I love the composition and the different colours popping out at me. That water looks amazing! Cheers from Australia, Isabella
