I seriously mean this: it's an excellent shot of, really, nothing interesting. At least, it wasn't until you photographed it. But there are many, many details worth pondering.

A good picture is a good picture; something about having done it yourself is important. A few weeks ago I shot a picture of the 'Sea Lion' on Lake Superior. Right...me and 100,000 others! But so what? Perhaps they simply invite viewers to find a detail that makes the shot singular. Here, you have a great glint in the little bugger's eye and on my monitor anyway a VERY slight yellowish cast in the railing that picks up some of the highlights in his/her fur. So, yeah, a classic, but original at the same time. Anyway, a damn pleasing picture!

Very well done...a very '60s' feel to it...some beautiful young creature who might either be an undergraduate away from home or else a girl dating one of the 'Stones, 1967...

It is very good; I like the subtle tones & love the eyes...but I'd like to see the rest of the forehead and perhaps the hair. However, that's a matter of taste. On many objective grounds, this is a great piece of work.
  1. The commenter who submitted the edited version has really applied the 'rule of thirds' to the composition. You have come up with a great concept, found models, used them in an interesting way. Nice work!
