Could you tell me more about the auto mode, Michael? I am tempted by a Metz flash, but I don't fully understand what I would be missing by getting one.

I have just acquired an Olympus OM-20 on eB*y. I only bought it because of the macro lens it came with ... so I now have a spare camera body. It looks okay, but I haven't tried it out at all. No lens, but a (tatty) case.
If anyone here would like it for the cost of p&p, please say so! I will ship anywhere in the world, but if you live in the Pitcairn islands, shipping will cost a tad more than if (like me) you live in England.
Conditions? Catches? Not many. If you would like to post a few photos taken with it here, that would be appreciated; and if you feel that you can also pass something onto a fellow photographer, that would also be nice.
I can take payment by Paypal, personal cheque, or probably other methods that we can work out. If you are interested, email me on andrew at avro707 dot force9 dot co dot uk
Okay?

Since I got my E-420 last September. I haven't used my two OM-2ns. No, not at all. I like having them, and I used to love using them, but the E-420 is just so much more ... convenient.
Should I keep them? Or should I just accept that I have Gone Postal, sorry, Gone Digital, and sell them?

Nice to see those shots! I often went to Melton market when I was young - my parents still live near there.

We will be spending a week in York in late May - mostly in and around the city, but with trips to Leeds and Bradford planned, and possibly to the coast (Scarborough or Whitby). Any hints for places to go? I'll have an Olympus E-420 with 25mm, 14 - 54mm, and 70 - 300mm lens. I've got a range of photographic interests, but I don't just want to do the usual tourist stuff.
Thanks

What are the options for a n external flash for my new E-420? What are the disadvabtages of buying a non-Olympus model?

Thanks

We flew up to Longyearbyen last summer. Despite searching long and hard, we couldn't find any cheap flights anywhere. I hope you have better luck, though!

What dedicated lenses are currently available for the Micro 4/3 format? I know that many (almost any?) other lenses can be used with suitable adaptors - but what could I use off the shelf for a new M4/3 camera?
Yes, I'm still vacillating as to what digital to buy!

We'll be spending a week in Pembrokeshire next month, from 3 to 10 July. Any hints as to where we should go for good photo-opportunities? I enjoy landscape, wildlife, and architectural photography.
Thanks

Hi
This is the first time I've tried to do this, and I don't know how! Any advice would be appreciated.
I've got seventeen photos I'd like to upload to my portfolio. I've managed to upload them to a "single shots" folder, but how can I move them into a named folder?
Also, can I then request a critique of the whole folder, or just for single shots?
Thanks
David, this may be a stupid question, but what is the auto-diaphragm?

I've got a couple of OM-2ns and a range of Zuiko lenses from 28mm - 300mm, and I love them; but I would like to try the flexibility and instant feedback that digital offers.
I've been thinking about the E-420 with 14 - 42mm and 40 - 150mm lenses. Now, I fully realise that this isn't Olympus's top-end body, nor will I be getting the best possible glass to go with it ... but will it do for me? Should I save up for a bit longer, and get either a better body, or better lenses? I am fully aware that even in my wildest dreams, I will never be a great photographer.
I enjoy a range of photography - landscape, wildlife, and informal portraiture.
Any advice would be much appreciated.

I, too, am debating DSLR v G10 (or, possibly, other high-end P&S). I've enjoyed reading the entries here - thanks.

Has anyone got experience of using OM lenses with the Panasonic G-1? How do they "fit" together - do they "feel" right

Thanks
