Highly original and arresting. If ever there was evidence needed against anonymous ratings, this is it.

Well, there you go! I think it is just me and most likely a fine image.
-
Wonderful! Just wonderful!
-
Lovely young woman.
-
So, I'm not the only one fascinated by piano keys!
-
Ha! I've also been exploring shadow. Lines, angles, contrasts, all important and helpful for study.

Nice, nice, nice! The angle of the plane against the curved shoreline, the curves reflected in the roads, the blue of the water as counterpoint to the tans/browns of the land....work!
-
Not my favorite, but I think it's me, not the image. The bottom feels heavy to me, as does the top.

Came back for another look. Same response: Wonderful.

Backlighting, I presume?
Just wonderful.
And...in honor of your inspirational photos...

Here I go again, playing "me, too!" "me, too!" but Fred articulated what was niggling at me as well.
At the time, the whiteness struck me as harsh, but I feared you would lose the wonderful "energy" if you changed it.
Now, one thing about this shot bothers me a lot....
why didn't I think of it? David, at some point you and I MUST go shooting together. Simply must. If you ever make it within a hundred miles of my area, lunch is on me and shooting will happen!

The animals were caged??? Huh.
Just a note: this was unstaged and unposed.
-
Yes, I thought keeping him occupied with the camera would help, and it did. These aren't "pretty" pics of me, but pretty isn't everything.

I love the B&W. This is wonderful. Don't change it.
And Ian,thank you, but... This is not fishing for compliments but I just don't see the "bold and original" in what I do. That you think so means a great deal to me. But I have no idea what you're talking about! (Again, please know, this is an honest reaction, not fishing for compliments.)

Me, too.

The lighting is perfect. The angle is interesting, and technically this is superb. I'll have to think on it some more before I can say anything of any value.

Ian, you are so far beyond me my comments are superfluous. Composition, lighting, focus...all bang on.
Almost everyone in the old CG leaves me feeling like a teenage groupie at a rock concert.
I think you are Paul, Gordon is Ringo, Fred is George, and ... John? Who is John?

Shots like this leave me speechless. You've created an impressionist painting with a camera.
Damn.
Wow.
Tongue-tied.
Wow.
-
This is amazing. The detail, the texture, the ..... just.....wow.
-
What I love is how very different this image is from my shots of the same glass, same setup. It shows how two different shooters can approach the very same scene and see it so very uniquely.

Joe....always good, always original, always breathtaking.
