Gordon! This has me screaming with laughter! You ARE a photographer!

C-section flashbacks!

Alberta's first sentence said it all.
I've been working on developing my critiquing skills, but Gordon....sometimes commentary is superfluous.
What Albert said.

Hello! Damned if you don't show flashes of brilliance! Creative, personal, intense, beautiful....and those words describe the image, too!
-
Oh, now, this is striking. The contrasts are bold, and the details very nice. For example, the three studs shining through the shadows that envelope her left ear are surprising. They add interest without undue distraction, I think.

The repeating patterns of circles, ovals, and lines are mesmerizing.
-
Damn!
Wow!
Gordon, your portfolio always humbles me. I feel like a star-struck high schooler when I view your images.

You paint with a camera.
And you inspire.

Another person who finds wine glasses fascinating! B&W works well, as does the dof.
-
Stunning.

I love the lines, the composition, that it's in black and white. I do wonder what a lighter contrast would render. I'd love to see more texture, more detail.

Posting for easier access to photo for review.

I like the "deadness" of the gray grass (weed-stuff!). The flowers seem to be tentatively yet defiantly (I know, I know!) forcing their way out into the world. It nicely communicates how early spring is so tentative, yet inexorable.
Contradictions. That really is what this season is, isn't it?

But,Charles....the scratch lends realism.

Good gravy, David....you know better than to listen to me!
I like it a lot.
-
-
He looks downright...impish!
-
David is eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevil.
-
You stinker! This looks familiar!
Wonderful job and your composition is flawless! The only thing I dislike is that you did it better than me! LOL!

When I return to an image and I like it as well or better on subsequent viewings, I know it's a very special image.
This one fits that nicely.
