Following a suggestion by Cynthia Jean, I boosted the color

saturation. I do like the result. What about the rest of you? The

original is still posted for comparison. Thanks Cynthia.

  1. I like this portrait very much. I wonder why you don't shoot in natural light more often. I believe the result is a natural softness that you just can't get with "artificial" light. Good Job.

A thought on the debate that is going on as a part of this posting... I try to point out the positives, as I see them, when writing comments on postings. I try to give a "what if" suggestion to the photographer instead of pointing out what I see as flaws. Many comments that I read in this forum tend to point out what is wrong rather than make solid suggestions on how, I the writers opion, the photo could be made better. I like it when someone else makes a suggestion on one of my postings because it makes me look at my work with a different eye.

And isn't that the real purpose of this site to begin with? Not to tear down, but build up.

Sophia (cat) does love her brother. She tries to get him to play, but he's and old man now and couldn't care less. She will run at him and use him for a moving hurtle as he walks across the floor. It's too funny. Thanks for the advice on the green eye. I have a JASC photo program that will work on it, I just wasn't sure how much I should remove and it still look natural.

Lucky portrait of these two together. Cody (dog) usually wants

nothing to do with his sister. I had to snap this quick. I would like

suggestions on the green eye. Would you leave it alone or darken more.

    Thanks in advance.

I really like the concept. Very original. I wonder though if it would be even better if you had moved a little to the left and reduced the hot spot next to his head. The light on her face is perfect. Nice intimate shot.

This is a wonderful portrait. I am becoming a huge fan of black & white, especially for portraits. Your nudes are great, but I think this is my favorate picture in your portfolio.

I am a romantic, but I can't take credit for this. They just happened to be parked that way in a field across from our property. I noticed them sitting there and the title just popped in my head.

I like the composition of the photograph. I wonder if it would be even better if she were actually playing the sax. Bearing herself thru the music, so to speak. Good work. Keep going.
  2. This photo will bring back memories for many people.

I think it's almost universal. Everybody's grandpa has or had

an old truck or car that is forever linked to them. Wonderful photograph

    with the perfect title.

  3. I really like your black & white nudes and portraits. I have recently become more serious about photography and have discovered the versatility of B&W.

Great portfolio. I'll be keeping an eye out for more from you.
