This was taken about 2 years ago and forgotten. I did some PS work on it,

then decided to apply a pastel treatment. What do you think? Thanks for any

    comments.

I like the entire "Candid Portraits" folder. This one, along with "A funny girl" and "Nick and Serina", are three of my favorites.

I really like this. It can be taken so many different ways. All roads lead to her, It's her way or the highway, etc. The viewer has a chance to imprint their own meaning onto the photograph. The logo is intrusive, maybe it could be smaller. Great Idea and wonderful job.

This is one of those photographs the both of them will come to treasure. Touching moments like this don't happen every day, and as years go by, they tend to come less often. Absolutely beautiful shot. It deserves at least an 11" x 14" print. Thanks for posting.

"Proper studio equipment" can be over rated. I takes a true professional to get nice results just using what's available. Beautiful shot of a sexy model.
  1. GREAT JOB! I love the pose and the tiny bit of attitude on the little lady's face. I don't know if the heart was already there or it was your idea to add it, but it's genious. Love it.

Good work Alain. I don't think I would change a thing. The fact that it's in B&W gives the shot an antique feel and I love the crop. Sharpness is there, you can make out the nuts and bolts. Nice work.
  2. Hey, James. I like it as is, but I do have a couple of "what if's". I don't know what the surroundings are outside of the frame, but could she be further away from the grasses? I find my eye being distracted by them. I also wonder what it would look like if it was cropped somewhat. Maybe somewhere around her hands in a portrait format. I'm wondering if it wouldn't take on the look of one of those old oil portraits that you see of family matriarchs. Just a couple of thoughts. I do really like it. Good luck to you.

Hey, Dan. Nice job on this. I'll have to keep the battery trick in mind. If the seams weren't so pronounced, this would pass for the real thing. Good work.

Of all of these, I like this one the best. This photo does have a fantasy edge to it that the others just don't have. My first reaction was as if being wakened by a presence, then seeing her standing next to the bed..... WoW As far as a title, perhaps something like "Late Night Fantasy" or "Dream" Good work.

Hey, Philip. Nice work. I really like the sharpness and the close cropping of this image. I don't think I can get this much definition with my camera. What did you use? Can you give your opinion on the crop of my "Moon Shot"? Thanks.

I'm specifically looking for opinions on the cropping. Would you have left it

more toward center frame or even moved more to one corner. Thanks for

    any thoughts.

I realize that normally you wouldn't want to shoot a portrait that time of day but, in this case, I think it works. You captured his predomant feature, the white beard, and I think people that know him would instantly recognize him. Good job.
