    Mike,

It's so great seeing you posting more. I love this new series. What are you shooting these with? I think this one if my favorite of the series. It has a lot of interesting elements and I find the composition quite lovely as my eye travels from the perspective to the detail!

  1. Very nice image! Even if you would expect the elements in this image to bring a sense of loneliness this image actually does the oposite. The title fits it perfectly! The colors are uplifting and fun. I like this image a lot. I find it very original!

Mike, this is a beautiful contribution to your portfolio. I hope you didn't freeze to death while rescuing your camera. It seems to me that the effort was worth it. This is a very serene, calming image!

Gordon...I find the colors here very unique and unusual. I have come to expect something truly original every time I visit your newest aditions. I find the light tint of pink-purple in this image quite charming!

    Dry summer

Josephine, Thank you for inviting us into your "fantastic" world. It really did capture me away from the daily realities. I trust your judgement in choosing to process this image so that it fits into the fantastic world you have created in your portfolio. I love the incredible feeling of movement and texture that I get from "Dry summer". I understand that photography today is no longer soly a way to capture and reveal reality, but a way to create different realities if we choose so. I consider "Dry Summer" to be highly original. I have never seen an image of a horse shaking off dust before. The warmth of the yellows and oranges in the backround add to the feeling of dryness. The little bright spec in the window of the barn gives me hope that there is someone else "in the picture". I am charmed.

    NYC Rain

There are many things I enjoy about this photograph. The umbrella is so large it obstructs the viewer from identifying the man. He is anonymous which is great...he could be anybody. There is a sort of grain-rain drops effect that gives texture to the entire photo not only the water surface. I see several different directions of movement: the background is alive-we cars, people and other umbrellas, the man is stepping towards the photographer/viewer, and the umbrella itself gives me the impression it is spinning clockwise (I am sure it is just an impression). I think that what makes the viewer respond to this shot its almost video like quality: we can see this scene moving, the man continuing to walk towards us, the cars moving and the drops falling.
