This man was working in Porto Sao Raimundo in Manaus... When I saw
him, I was reminded of the mith of Atlas, the Titan... and I had to
take the picture.
This is a scannerized slide. It was in VERY bad conditions, and I had
to work a lot to save what I could.
Every comment and critique will be very welcome.

Thank you for your comment. I understand your point of view. I actually tried it, but I decided to keep it whole... That green part above is, in my concept, too important in order to give the impression of "going into the deep", at least if I want to keep this a "documentary" photo. :)
I took a couple more shots here, with a different cut, more on the line of your suggestion. :)
Thank you again for your comment and the idea.

A very effective remainder of what we ultimately are... and an invitation to not take everything so seriously. :-)
Ciao, Francesco! You know that we share interest in this topic. See you soon!

I don't know if this belongs to Nudes or to Abstract. It's an heavily
manipulated photo, part of a series taken for an exhibition in 1983.
The idea was to work on "pure shapes", with no-grey images: pure white
on pure black. The photos were taken with the desired final result in
mind, so that the dark room post processing would be facilitated.
Critiques and comments are very welcome!

What are you asking advice for? :-)
The advice you can get depends a good deal on what you want to get as "final outcome" for your photo... Otherwise there will only be something about our personal taste! :-)
Anyway... I like the photo very much. And this is because I love the hard light that shows the skin "as it is", and not "softened" and smoothed via lights and PP.
I also like the composition. Maybe, and I say maybe, I would have under-exposed a little more and would have used the light/shadow to make the curved shape of the nearest breast more evident. But it's a matter of personal taste... :-)
