The 20D has less noise at high ISO.

In my opinion, the Canon 100-400L gives very good results on 1.6 crop bodies, such as my 20D.
Look at this shot, taken at f/5.6 (wide-open) at 400mm (equivalent to 640mm) at 1/160 second (thanks to IS) on my 20D:

Even better than http://www.visibledust.com
Try this: http://www.inethouse.net/cleanscreen.swf

And Eye Controlled Focus.
Waiting for the 30D.

Nice shot of a UFO flying by. These things go fast: Use higher shutter speed next time for maximum sharpness.

As it's now starting to look like the Sigma 30/1.4 is not so great, I'll also be looking again at the Canon 28/1.8, comparing these two if possible, unless the new Canon EOS 30D (I'm not starting a rumor...) has a full frame sensor, then my 50/1.4 would be OK.

Where are the pictures?

Yes, the Peleng 8mm is fun, and it's available with an EOS mount.
Try a search with "Peleng" on eBay.

A 15mm fisheye is no longer a fisheye when used on a 1.6X crop camera like the 20D. It looks like a 24mm lens to the camera.
I have an 8mm Peleng fisheye that I use for fun on my 20D, but it can't compare with my Canon 10-22 lens.

The link to the RAW file doesn't work.

I always recommend the Sensor Brush by www.visibledust.com but this type of smudge would probably also require their Sensor Cleaner fluid before.

I have both, and I normally use the 24-70 about 90% of the time, with the 10-22 the other 10%.
I will use the 17-40 when portability is important. I find myself using it less and less, though, but wouldn't sell it

I often have this problem with my 100-400L IS lens on my 20D.
I've been told that I should clean the contacts between the lens and the camera. It helps.

Hi,
Do you sharpen your images with Unsharp Mask?
Pierre
-
...oops... I meant "sufficiently".
Pierre

I think that if you use the center sensor on the 20D, with a sufficietly sensitive lens (f/2.8?) the camera uses high precison autofocus.

All this is true.
Also true: compatible and compatibility, not compatable and compatability.

At PhotoPlus Expo, the Canon people routinely made very nice 24x36 prints from the 10D (in 2003) and from the 20D (in 2004).

This "no double posting" comment is ridiculous, in my opinion, if (and only if) the subject covers both forums, because it allows you to get more forum specific answers to your question.
Interesting question: I'd sometimes like to convert from RAW, then do auto contrast, then auto 1024x768, then unsharp mask, then add my name and copyright at the bottom and save in JPG. I should look into actions.

You could put it in a Ziploc bag and let it acclimate.
This is what I do when coming in from the cold, in winter.
