Love it. A little noise reduction on the enlarged image would help.

Looks like the shallow depth of field with the f/3.5 focused on the background leaving the foreground lacking clarity and sharpness.
-
First impression - the tree is a distraction.

Outstanding. I have NEVER seen a photo of a father showing love for his son. Something we need to see more of. Congratulations.

Looks spot-on to me. Excellent photo!

The angle of the dog's lean takes it from good to exceptional.

A crop perhaps...

This is crazy good, outstanding!

You can also try a burn tool or clone it out. There's not a real good fix for it but you can call attention away from that hot spot.

If you have a selection tool with your editing software you can select the bright area and then adjust the exposure or if all else fails use a brush with black at about 10% opacity & flow and paint over it to dull it.

Nice photo at the special time of day. A "levels" adjustment bringing the right slider in will slightly brighten and bring the dynamic range up.

Your fan club is way too generous with their critique of this photo... there's nothing appealing about this photo.

I think reducing the opacity of the RIP text layer would have made it blend in better.

Nicely done work in Photoshop. The only thing I find that complicates the "sell" is the horizon of the water may be better if it were lower.

For some reason this worked, created an instant sense of place & mood, well done.

It's about time somebody on photo.net got back to very well done layered images. Very creative! Nice work...
-
Nice work however I find the brown thread distracting.

Creative use of motion blur. I like the parallels.

Daniel must be a friend. Nothing positive to say about this photo, sorry. Keep trying with the HDR but find something else!
