i don't know what alloy the m body is made of, but i dropped my m6 while the bottom plate was off (loading), it landed on the bottom edge producing a dent in the casting, not enough to leak light, so must be some ductile metal.
ever check the cost of the older leica 35/50 asph and other older lenses? they are made in a very labor intensive way, alpa and others too. of course they can be made today, even in the us/china/india/etc. (a-bombs, hubble, satellites are a google earth source, etc.) but the cost for consumer market is too high.

how do you get used to the switch EV. i tried 6x6 but framing and reversed image made be stop pretty quick. i've using 24x36 for most of my life.

i wrote in that mentioned thread to get a round cross section black rubber/elastomer o-ring smaller such that it is press (stretched) fit around the eye piece, not a rect. x-sec. gasket/washer. my method uses no glue that may be a problem for certain m7s, and if mine falls off i put another on. i don't wear script's but i do use sun shades.

i don't know which way the shutter speed dial turns on the zm, but an m6 will match the mp.
-
if ordered M7 meant new, i'd also get a new lens for it, 40 CV. gifts are nice when boxed, people tend to get the warm fuzzies.
-
i'd get an o-ring that stretches over the eyepiece and is thick enough to be of use.

us and uk prices can be quite different

if you can get one that cheap, snap it up, try it, if you don't like it, ebay it and double your money.

i was referring to customer satisfaction surveys, we all know there are many things to survey.

prove to me that, other than the gap, a hyundai spark plug is different than a volvo's

you don't have to focus using the gear, just use it for infinity unlock and focus normally.

$250 is a ridiculous amount to spend on a bag of this size, i bought an F-5xb for $30...works the same.
-
spark plug threads are standardized for all petrol engines
expectation vs satisfaction skews the statistics, ie buick scores high

was the shutter cocked?
