  1. As I was taking this photograph a truck approached slowly and the

driver asked if I was the tax man. It was Ron Alexander, the owner and

he was about to lose the farm to the bank. I gave him the Polaroid I

took and later send him an 11x14 print. That print is all Ron has left

of his farm. This photograph always brings back memories of Ron Alexander.

  2. Thanks for your comment on my B&W. I have photographed here but never in the snow. Beautiful! I love it! As to the location of my B&W, I not real sure as it was a long time ago but the town was called Villa Grove. You have a unique style and I enjoyed all of your photos.
  3. Yes, the place is called "Inspiration Point" and it overlooks the whole valley. Ansel Adam's "Clearing Winter Storm" was taken from this very place. I used a 300mm Schneider lens with a light red filter to capture this image. Unfortunately I never met Ansel but I have taken workshops with John Sexton, Ansel's assistant for many years. A simple photograph but "El Capitan" speaks volumes in it's magnificence.
  4. I took this image over 40 years ago. I knew very little about

photography at the time but I knew that I had found something that

allowed me to express myself and I like the process. I was walking

around in Tucson , Arizona looking for something to photograph when I

happened upon this gentleman. The negative is poorly exposed

,developed, and very hard to get a good print from. But it has alway

moved me and always will. There is a song by Simon & Garfunkel called

"Old Friends"..."old friends, quietly sitting on a park bench, old

    friends.....". Waiting........
