Well done. I like the feel of the shot. Next time I would suggest a composition that doesn't leave such a gap in the frame; in other words, the house and clump of trees are too far from each other, or perhaps the house needs to be pulled a bit away from the frame's edge. Overall a good picture.

Next time try not to have the smoke touch the frame like that. At least have it lead out somewhere other that a corner. Also seems to be too much room on the right side. OTHERWISE, fantastic toning and overall capture. Just work on composition.
  1. Funny story (not really)--While I was recording this shot, a park

ranger was leaving a ticket on my car for leaving it unattended after

10pm....=) Comments, suggestions, critiques please...thank you!

...compared to 115 degrees in July, of course. Comments, critiques

welcome. 11- minute exposure with help from the full moon and a red-

    lens flashlight.

I was hesitant putting this one up because frankly, Mono Lake has

been shot by many photographers, most light years better than I.

However I haven't been out to shoot much lately and my wife has

bronchitis so here's my Mono Lake Picture. Critiques welcome, but

moreso I'd like links you your pictures of this overshot lake--I know

there's somebody out there with a fresh, original image!

The foreground object is drifting a little to the edge of the frame. Also, perhaps try these shot's w/o a digital grain filter (if that's what you did)
