    The horse on the right is strikingly powerful. If I had the chance, I would have photographed from a lower vantage point and waited until the horses were more in profile. It could make them look more heroic.

    No. I was with a group of five and, because these bears move silently, we watched each others' backs. We saw some challenge displays, but nothing really dangerous if you keep you distance and use a telephoto. They get aggressive if you don't make some noise.
