"Don't mess with me - I've been around a long, long time and have seen alot of life. So you be quiet and learn something" This face - filled with wisdom and years, speaks a powerfull message. It's a powerfull photo!

There is something about the foreground, that is the water - it's blackness, allmost like a slate marbel top, and, alittle further, the whiteness or effervescence. Interesting facets to an otherwise simple yet compelling scene.

Certainly interesting as well as captivating, but would be even more interesting/captivating if I knew what this is of, and where. 'Course it doesn't matter to some.

It's certainly pleasant to look at, good composition and all that, but sorry - the colors don't look real, but hey, that's what people like these days.

This photo, looked at from a distance, has "1940's-ish" feel to it. I like it.

You "experts" with your hyper-criticism, nitpicking this/that/etc. Why don't you all go OUT of the house on a miserably cold winter day and still come up with something like this - you couldn't ! This is a very good photo. It does alot. Tells alot. Makes you feel something. The man having to make his way speaks of endurance.

Great photo except for just one element - the first tree. It stands apart from the others in that it's not bathed in fog, you could've zoomed-in on the subsequent ones via telephoto. But of course as sometimes the case, it might've not been possible. To understand why one would have had to be there. Nevertheless, I never gave a thought about autumn photography in overcast foggy conditions, but now I do!

Like this very week in Chicago. The very elements beating down on you - agonizing heat together with relief of cool spray & drink. GREAT summer shot!
