I am starting to run across alot of these old abandoned homes while
out looking for old barns to shoot. Starting to like the looks of
them when they are in a good setting, seem like they can make an
interesting pic.

The first day of winter always makes me think foward to a summer that
seems an enternity away.
-
Submitted a version of this earlier, replaced with this.

I love these twilight shots . Like your shot here alot, the soft colors offered by this kind of light is priceless and you mastered it perfect, nice work. BILL

Ran into this old house while shooting barns. Owners told me it was
pre Civil War Era.

After finding this ole guy out in a field all I could think about was
how GOD'S Showroom beats the dealers everytime.

When out looking for old barns to shoot I ran into this old house. I
went up to the door of a house that was on the same property as this
house and the old barn. The old lady that answered the door gave me
permission to shoot the barn and told me a long story about the
house. She and her husband lived in this house for 50 years, kind of
sad but nice to have a story and a face to go with the pic.

Love to watch these tugboat operators manuver in foggy waters the way
it is here.

You have alot of good things going on here Ross. The colors are striking, lighting is excellent, but I think your framing makes the shot. If you were to move your angle a little left or a little right the big tree in front could distract instead of adding to the pic, but you got it perfect. BILL

Everything is dead on in this pic, great mood, great lighting, framing and composition, congrats on a great shot. BILL

This was taken last week as the last of the pumpkins was collected.

One of the most famous landmarks in the Cincinnati area is this old
bridge. The Suspension Bridge was started pre-civil war era 1861 to
help get the north troops into the south.

This could be a neat xmas card, well done .

As colorful as fall is the beginning of winter can offer some
interesting shades of gray.
-
I have been expermenting with trying to produce different shades of
sepia thru different means.
-
Liked how this barn sat on a ridge overlooking this scenic valley.
-
Like looking at a car wreck some of these old barns have the same
type of odd appeal.
-
I took this same pic awhile back and the difference between now and a
couple of months ago is amazing, wouldn't even submit the other one.

Wanted to give this pic a fall feel even thought it is in sepia.
-
It amazes me how some of these old barns are built right into a side
of a hill.

Went to the track Sat. and played around with different types of
shots. Here I did a little motion blur.
