Amazing... the muted tones and soft nature of the waves make this a truly outstanding image. Very well shot, Excellent work all around. 6/6

This is absolutely fantastic... The alpenglow, the lake... everything works here. It caught my attention immediately.
You have a very nice style, and it shows through on a lot of your work. Very unique and eye catching.

Beautiful color... really a stunning close up. The composition is quite nice too.. just touching on the rule of thirds.
I think the image is a little soft.. there would be a bit more impact if part of the center was in focus and sharp. But aside from that, a very nice image.

Great light and fantasticly simple composition. This image definitely does not to be cropped or warmed in any way as the previous poster suggested (IMO) the color balance is perfect. Slight touch of cool, but still a warm overall feel.

It is certainly a good image... depth of field is about perfect, but i'm still not convinced that it's a 'great' image. maybe it's just me, but it feels like the (viewer's left) eye is distracting, almost as if she's not completely looking at the camera... Probably an optical illusion, but throws me a bit.
Aside from that, a very nice portrait no doubt.

I think if we could see this image in a 24x36 print all the negative critiques so far would go out the window. As Ken mentioned, this is a 38kb file.... literally no information. A far cry from a 100MB 16bit color managed Tiff file. I have no doubt there is plenty of detail in the tree and the sand that is invisible here due to compression artifacts and the small size.
Aside from all that, perfect combination of perfect composition, contrast, color and geometry. All you croppers out there completely missed the mark on this one. It's perfect as it is. Every other crop on here strikes me as poorly thought out, and each one detracts something significantly important from the photo.
Great work Dionys! A fantastic image.

Wow, very nice control of light and detail. I would love ot see a full size print of this, I expect it would be fantastic! Great work.

Actually, a really nice image! Just enough detail to draw the eye, but the tones and and depth of field give this shot a really fantastic, natural, watercolor feel. Fantastic work really, I like this one a lot.

Wow David, you've really outdone yourself here! What a beautiful setup and capture. Daytime landscape can be tough, but you have absolutely nailed it here. Great capture! I might have included more foreground vs. sky, but that's a purely stylistic choice. Lake minniwanka if i'm not mistaken?

Powerful, emotive and true documentative. A story that NEEDS to be told. Thank you for sharing.

Great one Michael, probably my favorite of the bunch. I had a look on your website as well. Sounds like an interesting life, and many interesting adventures.

although this might have been better if the deer was off-center, it is still a very nice image. GREAT use of framing here.

I like it... there is a great deal of detail here, and the reflection of the sun is very interesting... Well done! I agree with the above poster, don't let the rule of thrids police annoy you too much. This photo probably could been a little better composed, but it doesn't detract from the interest too much.

A little noise and soft, but I'm assuming that's just the equipment you are using (noise in the sky, soft detail)
But that being said, I really like this in B+W and I think the composition is really good. A very interesting photo.

Not too dark at all. It can be very hard to capture the sky and the dark foreground in the rockies... always high contrast. You've done it perfectly... the attention is drawn immediately to the mountain, and then you start to pick up all the small details. Very beautiful image.

Great one! I'm doing this hike in 5 weeks. I certainly can't wait. Excellent capture here... it is amazing how perfectly those calm morning ponds can reflect the surroundings. Anyone who thinks it is fake hasn't spent any time in the backcountry.
