    Thank you both. I hadn't used a tilt/shift in a while so I was playing handheld with some shifts and tilts. I think I dialed up the brightness a bit too high or the sun was a heckuva lot closer than usual to the earth that day. Back to Lightroom.

    I'm not sure if this is supposed to be a statement of the bird looking on in awe at the beautiful scene. It really is a beautiful scene. But I find the presence of the rock and bird disconcerting. I think to call it grotesque though seems harsh and even inappropriate.

    <p>It seems like you have an awful lot planned for a very short time. The drive along 550 is beautiful. Plenty of places to stop and take landscape photos. Black Canyon of the Gunnison on Hwy 50 has some awesome views. You could turn that all into some sort of loop. A hectic loop. But a loop. I'd suggest you leave Monument Valley for another weekend.
