I love these old structure photos. My family owns land around Cripple Creek and this photo reminds me of some of the old buildings in and around that area.

I really like the colors in this photograph. The shadow from the rock really helps this photo in my opinion. Good eye and great shot.

  1. I like your photo, the water looks metallic, like silver. Is the sand black at this beach? Just curious, I really like the black sand beaches, they are so beautiful, like your photo.

Ryan, this is a good start. Any one who is willing to go out in this kind of weather must have determination. On my monitor your snow looks a little grey.

You could adjust the white balance if you shoot in raw format. There is a good post in the forum section on PN explaining how to photograph snow. I like your framing and subject. Brrrrrrr

Great shot Chuck. I just love these acrobats. I have been lucky enough to capture a few myself and I know how hard they are to shoot. Great job.

  2. Aris, this is called a Pinecone Ginger. Did you enjoy your drive to Hana? You will see the most spectacular foliage on this road. Did you have a chance to photograph the many waterfalls on the way or were you here during the summer months when they are dry? I like your photo.

No two colors complement each other as well as black and gold. Outstanding silhouette with the tree and the bicycle. The railing gives the photo that extra abstract quality. Very cool.....
