Laura,
This is a lovely picture with very beautifully saturated colors and a nice pleasing background. I do have a question though,.. I see that there is a bright green streak in the bottom rt-centre of the picture and somehow it is pulling me away from the frame... was that intentional ?
All in all a wonderful picture and thanks for sharing.

A lovely early Spring Dutch morning.

Congratulations.. The Composition, Timing, Colour balance, Background and Lighting is PERFECT. The texture on the flower stalk adds to the alluring image. The position of the ant couldn't be any better! If I have to nitpick then,
1. Would have loved more details / texture on the left side middle of the flower (I am sure you can coax it out the RAW)
2. Somehow the tip of the flower led me out of the picture before the ant drew me back in
All in all 6/7..

This is an early morning shot of a tulip at the Keukenhof in
Netherlands. The idea was to capture a picture as the tulip was
responding to the first light. Thanks for your time.

This is a male Orange Tip resting during the early hours of a monsoon
season. Please critique and thanks for your time

This picture has just taught me what I can do with my Medium format sitting at home. This picture is simply breathtaking. Congratulations 7/7

This is a crop of an larger image to highlight the beautiful wing
detail and colour. Thank you for your time.

Very beautiful composition and colour. The subtle play of light on the small rocks at the bottom of the picture makes an interesting pattern and draws one into the picture. Pity the sky did not co-operate with you as much.. on the other hand if the sky were to be dramatic as well then it might have taken away the attention from the beautifully coloured rock formation.. hmmm..
All in all a lovely picture. 7/7

John,
Thank you for your comments. I have another picture that displays just the tree tops as well.. it adds more colour but since the ground in not visible in that picture.. it becomes sort of an abstract..
Thanks again for stopping by

Gail, Dianne,
Thank you both for your comments. I love the curve of the twig as well, I did try to get the last bit of the flower into the slide.. but that meant I include some other details which would have degraded the picture as well as made the butterflies a little smaller in the frame, so this the best I could do.
Thank you both for your time.

Satish,
Thank you for your comments, much appreciated.

This is a very beautifully layered image Lennart. In the beginning I was wondering if the blurred yellow-orange blades of grass in the foreground was distracting..but after taking a step back (literally) if in fact adds to the image. The subtle details in the trees in the background adds depth to the picture as well. Of course the pristine white swans hits the nail.
All in all very beautiful image that invites one to spend time with it. If this is an un-manipulated image my rating is 7/7 .. superbly executed.

A rare occurance to be captured .. congratulations ! I know you could not probably control the background / lighting etc.. but would it have helped to have a larger aperture opening ?.. just a thought..
All in all a rare occurance nicely captured - 7/7

Love the selective black-n-white treatment of this picture.. the clutch of coloured leaves makes this picture outstanding.. Thanks for sharing.. very beautiful picture.

The details on the petals is superb. The almost monotone of the picture makes this picture stand head n shoulder above normal back lit pics. Lovely..

On a peaceful cold weekend I decided to take a relook at the much
loved Media Harbour in Düsseldorf where Internationally reputed
masters from the world of architecture like Steven Holl, David
Chipperfield or Frank O. Gehry have as much of a presence here as
leading regional architects. Had to wait for a seagull to appear
exactly where I wanted though.. worth the frozen fringers.

Please critique. Thanks for your time.
This is an early morning monsoon shot with a bit of backlight. Had
to wait quite a while for the breeze to stop...worth it :)

Any feedback welcome. Thanks for your time.

stunning colors and detail.. I just love the way the texture of the stones slowly leads one into the picture.. very beautiufl composition.. One thougt.. More capture to the right and making this a panorama would probably make this heavenly. All in all this picute gets my 7/7. Thanks for sharing.

One of the few frames that came out sharp of the 6 odd that I tried
during a early windy morning with a especially shy and jittery
butterfly. It was worth the leg cramp and the pain in the neck as I
had to stoop so low (literally) to get a good background.

Roberto,
You have communicated the beauty of a flower in the most simplest and one of the most beautiful way I have witnessed. Truly splendid. Congratulations. For me this picture is 7/7
