I don't know what I like more, the photo, or the story that goes with it. Great photo, mesmerizing.

This photo was taken at a dam on the Huron River just outside Ann
Arbor, MI. The kayaker could not stop paddling, so getting the proper
exposure was difficult. The water level is very high due to recent
thunderstorms in the area and it is not often to see the dam
permitting this much water to flow. I played a little with darkening
and the contrast, and due to the motion of the kayaker, I edited a
little so he would appear in focus. I appreciate all the comments,
thanks......Ben

Our power went out over the weekend. So we went storm chasing. This

Once again my employer is to thank for a wonerful road trip. I had
service work to do in Becancour, Quebec and in route I took the time to
snap a few pictures. Beautiful landscapes are typical of Canada and
since my employer has switched up the service areas for myself, I will
be able to more often to visit this remarkable countryside. Thanks for
taking a look, all critics welcomed.

My buddy and I took a tour on our own of Detroit's abandoned train
station. Impressive structure left to decay over the past 20 plus
years. Similar to Detroit's economy. Thanks for taking a look, all
critics welcomed.

Good depth and an array of textures. Well done.

This photo was taken in Copper Harbor in the Keewenaw Peninsula in
Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This is my girlfriend looking into
Copper Harbor with Lake Superior beyond that. All critics
welcomed. Thanks for taking a look.

Poor farming practices early this century led to massive erosion
forming a man-made canyon in Western Georgia. Pretty impressive.

Sometimes the weather just does not cooperate. This was a dark,
misty, day in Redford. I am really trying to learn how to take a
nice landscape photo in this type of situation. I didn't get it
done but all critiques are welcomed. Thanks for taking a look.

Thanks John. Sometimes I find it hard to find a subject and then have the ability to frame it or crop it so all the clutter is removed from the photo. That problem is eliminated in the middle of the ocean.

Getting her to just face the camera should be award worthy. After about
1000 photos, this is what I have.
