Thank you very much Pnina! I still have much to learn in photography, but I'm looking forward to the journey. Cheers, Scott

Good point Wendy. Thanks for your compliments and comments! Cheers,

Thank you Wayne! I appreciate it!

Thanks very much Peter!!! We are so tiny. I one read that if you hold your hand at arm's length, and hold up your smallest finger, the area of sky covered by your fingernail has approx. 18 million galaxies behind it, each with over 100 billion stars. That's all behind one fingernail.

I'm not sure if I like the grain/texture in the sky, but I love the composition and tones, and the lighting is fascinating! It's fairly flat light on the bridge, but the way the bridge goes into the light is excellent and adds a lot of interest. I especially like the plants. They add depth and make the bridge seem larger and more impressive. Great capture!

Thanks Todd! I wish I was there right now. Here in Edmonton it's currently -34C!

Thanks Tony!

Thanks very much Neil! I just read your bio. Nice to see another AB-based photographer here on Photo.net. I grew up here in Edmonton, my first SLR was a Yashica FX-3, and I'm now doing IT work. Small world!

Thank you Kathy and Victor! Edmonton often loses its leaves quickly in the fall due to wind. The year this was taken was exceptional as the weather stayed nice for weeks and the leaves had time to turn. Thanks, Scott

Thanks Dick! The illuminated part of the moon was photographed using a telescope as a lens (the equivalent of a 1260mm focal length lens, which on the APS-C sensor becomes about a 2000mm lens), with a Rebel t3i body. The telescope has a motor drive so it follows the moon across the sky. I probably shot about 100 shots, and after experimenting with stacking them with no luck, finally decided just to pick the sharpest frame of the 100. The background stars were photographed from a rural location with the T3i on a tripod and about a 50mm lens. Then, using Paint Shop Pro, I put the moon on one layer, the stars on another, and used a vector layer to create a black circle to provide the other half of the moon. I did a few curves adjustments and a bit of sharpening, but that was it. Cheers, Scott

Stunning shot Katerina! Lovely tones and textures and excellent lighting. Well done!

Stunning shot Alain! It's great to see a new perspective on a familiar landmark, and your capture is excellent. The reflection really ties it all together, and the play of the grass against the sky works very well. Excellent!

Lovely shot Aileen! I'd be tempted to crop about 3/4 of the space that sits to the left of the vertical stem, or perhaps darken it. It has some blue tones to it and to me it feels like it draws away from the wonderful lines and form of the rest of the shot. I love the detail you've captured here. Well done!

Thanks very much Aileen and Alain! Best regards, Scott.

I really never shoot street photography, but I couldn't resist this one when I
saw it. Thanks for any constructive feedback. Cheers, Scott.

Lovely capture Jorge! Nice lighting, and I think your crop works very well. It's refreshing to see a shot of the Empire State that wasn't shot from the top of Rockerfeller Center. Well done!

Thanks very much gentlemen. I've looked at your portfolios. It means a lot to receive praise from photographers as advanced as yourselves. Cheers, Scott.
