1. Hi.... just wondering if anyone can help on this.... I have been using my Ricoh GR and Fuji X100 on LIghtroom 3 on my MAC for several years without issue. Recently however, I cannot upload any images from the X100 as LR doesn't seem to recognise the memory card. The camera doesn't even come up as a source on the LR import screen anymore. I have changed cards and other settings but nothing seems to work. I did upgrade the MAC OS system to El Capitan recently so not sure if that has anything to do with it. Can anyone suggest anything? Thank you
 2.
Just after some advice from members who currently use or have used the above software.
I am just wondering which of the two software systems is the best to start with for someone like me who knows nothing about photo software (I have been shooting film for nearly 20 years). Primarily I shoot b&w and want to continue to do so with the digital camera I bought recently. Thank you.

It doesn't tell me anything
This thread originated with an observation regarding Winogrand and I simply responded with a comment he made regarding street photography. Given this is a community photographic site, whether my comment resonates with a particular individual at his particular point in his photographic career is not the point. There may be other people for whom this comment (trite or otherwise) adds to their experience in photography.

 4.
I am looking to buy a digital camera and the G1 currently comes top of my list. One big reason is that I can use my Leica M series lenses on the G1 with the adaptor. I would be curious to know of other members experiences with the M series lenses and this camera.
Also, how is the shutter lag? I have played with the camera in the shop but this isnt the same as being on the street so to speak.
Thanks for your assistance

 5.
Went to my favourite camera store here in Sapporo (northern Japan) to pick up a couple of 20 roll boxes of my favourite Neopan 1600 only to find none in stock. Upon enquiry I was advised that this film is no longer available by the box - only single rolls from now on (and got the same answer from 2 more subsequent stores). On top of that, the single roll price had jumped by nearly 25% in the last few weeks. According to the sales staff person, Fuji are looking to drop the 1600 in the near future and concentrate only on the 100 Acros and 400 Neopan films which if true, is a sad situation indeed as 1600 Neopan is a great film.
Is there anyone one else out there with any other knowledge regarding this?
I have emailed Fuji Japan late today but dont expect an answer for a few days....

 6.
I have been living in Japan for the last three years shooting with my M7 alot of the time. I have just published a couple of books which I thought may (hope) interest everyone. The majority of the images were taken with a Summicron 35mm f/2 lens and Neopan 1600 speed film. The link (if I get it right) is as follows and any feedback or comments are most appreciated.

LINK

 7.
As a grown man approaching 50 with 35 years of photography behind me, I am very happy to accept responsibility for my actions. I dont get in peoples faces, try to move unobtrusively without 'hiding' anything and try to judge situations before I shoot. I am however, not responsible for the over-reaction of some people on the street - that is something I cannot control. While smiling and acknowledging each others presence is one way of getting photos, it is not the way of pure 'street photography' which is a different style.

 8.
The website address I provided is not for anarchists or people with bad attitude - it is a legitimate photography site that provides a rundown on photographers rights in NSW. In fact this site has been referred to in several trade magazines and articles in the past. You may also find the following blog from a Sydney Morning Herald photographer of interest (if I get the link correct)
