The 20/30/40/50D all have the same dual mount and registration. Lens that fit one of them will fit all of them. The article your quoting as data that most likely predates the 50D. The lens is most likely an EF-S type lens then and won't fit the 5Ds or 1Ds.

JOSH: Update: Tonight, all is fine for me, (http://tag.admeld.com) no longer shows up in my history. Whas there a relationship between the bug and this address?

-

Mendel: I tried to request twice in succession and yes it does work sometimes like you said. Alas not always.

JOSH: I noticed something new in my browser's history. http://tag.admeld.com shows up as a page I visited just before I can't go back. Could this have anything to do with it?

The go back to previous does not work on my computer when i'm browsing photo.net forums. But works fine when browsing user galleries. Works fine on every other site I tested. I restarted Safari, but gives the same on photo.net forum area but work good elsewhere in photo.net and on other site!
I'm running Safari 4.0.2 on OS X 10.5.8.
Any idea what might be wrong ?!?

Hi Jessica,
Most picture viewer will show you metadata. That's what I did with the photo.net sample you gave us. Using your OlympusMaster software that came with your camera you should be able to view even more of that info on your original picture. Look under the view tab, and choose view info (I'm translating my french menu options here, so the wording may be different for you)

Exif Data recovered:
Date: 2009:07:21 22:33:40
Version EXIF: 2.2
Shutter Speed: 1 / 15
Flash: Did not fire, automatic
Aperture: 5.6
Focal Length: 42mm
ISO: 1600
Light Source: Unknown
Max Aperture: 3.613281
Size X : 640
Size Y : 480
Camera: Unknown

Iso 1600, You obviously have some noise. The exif of this one does not show all of the manufaturer's fields. Looking at your original file's exif data will tell you if you had NR (Noise reduction) enabled.

1. EF 100-400 on 40D, 50-500 (Bigma) on E3. I shoot mostly birds and wildlife.
2. EF 50 1.4 on 40D, ZD 14-54 on E3 for portraits
3. But with my latest acquisition: EFS 10-22 on 40D, I will do a lot of landscape and architectural.

The earliest Serial Number I sport is on my FD 200mm f/4: 24809, then it's my FD 300mm f/5.6: 35273

I really like yours too Joshua. This is going to be a whole new perspective for me (pun intended). Thanks for sharing!

Angel: I have a friend that got the 16-35 for his 5DM2. Although he hasn't used it much, really likes IQ. When I saw what he could take with it, that gave me lens envy.
David: Haven't shot anything whortwhile just yet (spent only a few hours experimenting) but the IQ, contrast and resolution are beyond my expectations. I know I'll enjoy this lens! Did I tel you guys already, I love it, I love it, I love it.
Clayton: Nice shots, I really like the library/study picture. I really like the light, rich colours and POV. I whish i could have taken the second one.

Just got myself an EF-S 10-22 F/3.5-4.5 USM for my 40D. Went out this afternoon to shoot with it. This is a revelation for me.
As much as I love bird and wild life photography (40D w/100-400, E3 w/Bigma), I simply love this lens for landscape and architecture. I love my Zuiko Digital 14-54 (28-108 Equiv) on my E3 for landscape and architecture but never had anything this wide (16-35 Equiv.).
What do you photograph with yours?

Good idea :) I may very well be there!

Congrats, very nice!

All ends well for now, They pulled my photograph from their site today.

Did you mean rear MOUNT?
My 100-400 as play when mounted on my 40D, but if I install my 1,4 Extender II, all play in the mounts (both front and rear) seem to disappear.

Sally: Someone sometime ago complained about these guys and so I check them from time to time.
Bob: Thanks for the tip about Google Adsense. I found a contact email address, and ask that they remove the picture within the next 48 hours. I may use that tip further down the road if they don't oblige.
Frank: Both websites where this picture was posted by me (photo.net and imagepro.photography.com) stipulates my copyright for all of my pictures. They (www.widelec.org) have no business using it without my authorization.

This web site seems to take whatever they want from other websites such as this one.
I can't read any of that stuff so I don't really know how to enforce my rights as the photographer, but may be one of you guys with a picture there know the language and can speak for all of us...
The whole series starts here.

Have you tried photographing the exact same seen at same Aperture/Focal length with both OM Zuiko and Zuiko Digital?

-

I too am looking at a wide angle lens, and Sigma as just released a new 10-20mm F3.5 EX DC HSM for APS-C sized. Waiting for some reviews before buying either lens though the Tokina is also interesting.

"Yes it will be crowded, but with birders, who tend to be mild polite people. The good news is that you have thousands of eyes out there who are eager to share with each other where the best sightings are."
This as been my experience wherever I've been so far.
"you have chosen a time when odds are there will be a lot of beautiful warblers."
That's exactly what we were expecting. Thanks for the encouraging comments.

Hi Kerry,

Hi to all,
Three friends and I are heading for Point Pelee National Park from the 11th to 15th of May.
Our hotel reservations have been confirmed, there were only week day reservation available.
Any of you fellow bird photographers have any pointers for us? Like clothes, preferred hot spots for photography or for good dinning?
Anything really.

Thanks in advance for your responses. Dan

Does anyone use their EF-S 10-22mm a lot?
in Canon EOS Mount
