i used curves; darkened it, added yellow and red, and levels for black point adjustment to
darken them.
pretty good shot.
-
tried bunny ink, its ok, requires a stamp and pad, not self inking. i got 2" burst shape stickers
from kenkos copy made. has ? statement and studio logo/contact to make it look good.

ive shot 2 ad campaigns where the photos are used in a billboard display. no differant than
anything else. you just need at file at 300 dpi for a 1:12 file. ie if the board is 10x15 ft, you
need a 10x15 inch @ 300 ppi file to produce it. your the photographer, dont worry about the
rest, printing, installation, its handled by pros.

you just need a hotshoe to PC cord/adaptor
this this the hotshoe connection you need

couldnt find one also with a pc tip, go to paramounts website and they can make custom
cords/lengths/attachments and its reasonable.

vertical grip battery pack
http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/86276-REG/Canon_2413A002_Battery_Pack.html
the standard grip for the camera....?
sell the HS camera and buy the camera and booster separately.... that way you have the
options for size/speed.

looks like multiple copies of the same image. marquee one section of the photo, and
command J, copy to a new layer. add boarder if wanted. differant background layer creative
things were done. partial colorings/desaturations, motion blur, color toning.

well a new year is around the corner, double or triple your prices and see how many follow
you. this way if you get hired you will make some great money, and you might be suprised
on how much business you will not loose!
i think the wedd photogs got really divided lately, either $500 for a shoot to burn CD or
$5000 for the normal stuff. the people spending $1000-2500 are now saving a lot of $$,
those who could afford this pay this or go for larger packages. and the only thing
photographers did is choose if they wanted to go high or low overnight.

its a mildly entertaining show. its too fast pasted. getting an assignment for 1-2 shots and
figuring how to prop it, light it, shoot it, PS and print it is alot to do in a week.
i guess shows have to explore every topic out there. just another example of people looking
for the new 'extreme' thing, peopling loosing it, getting in fights etc.
and when you get out in the real world, 99% of us have to please the client when we know its
not what we want.

i know several photos doing $250K in small towns in the NW.
taking the picture is only 1% of your job.

i recall the cartoon too, i still want to recite it to someone.
my dad has a P/S camera, one one trip with him i brought along my Mamiya 645 with a Phase
One P25 digital back. we went on a hike to some water falls, he wanted a shot of me by the
falls. so i gave him the camera and set it on auto everything. the shot was out of focus
amoung other things. that takes the cake.

i like the simplicity of #1. bw is nice too, to even out brides skin.
-
i see a phase one P25 on ebay for only $6000 now.
-
shoot raw +jpg in camera. separate on the computer.
-
probably not many people on here with them. but check Lumiousslandscape, lots of talk of
them there.
i have a phase one P25, if you wanna know anything messsage me through my email.

im in a small town, one studio does almosst 400 high school srs per year, at $400 each,
that $160k and they do other portraits but no weddings.
i almost partnered with another photog when i opened my studio. once he shot fora year
or so, he just tripled his prices and had the high end marketing to go along with it. and
now is really busy with weddings starting at $5k. lots of percieved value...percieved. hes
good, but not out of this world good.
i think the wedding industry really got divided it either $500for a whole wedd or $5k these
days.

i went to a photo school and we usesd jobo tanks manual agitation which is ok the base
would be lots better. if you have a local lab that does it hopefully by machine its the best. i
usesd a lab in santa barbara, ca that used an old color neg processing machine for bw negs.
after all the thought that goes into shooting 45, i dont mind spending $3-5 to process it
(higher price if pushed etc)
-
i do 25 slimlines for just under $3/ea. afterall regular cards are $4 and they dont have a
photos. i volume discount larger card counts, i think it goess to $1.5-2 ea in the higher
volume.
never tried the folded cards as the upload interface is difficult.
-
i use C1 pro for processsing all my files, teathered or imported on CF card. it has sped up my
workflow tramendously.
-
i would have loved to tee off on the organist. i would have flashed him just once, so hopefully
he would hit me and i could take pic of him to report to the cops! i would also love to show
him my pepper spray if he threatened!!

6x6 digital backs, like the phases one P20 is 4080x4080 pixels= 16MP, about 1.5x1.5 inches
or 36x36mm. crop factor to 645 with it is 1.4x

i shoot about 75 shots/hr and ended up showing about 1/2 of that due to blinks/not looking
right way etc. i think i had about 400 shots for 6 hrs in all, i shoot a few shots fast for eye
blinks, weird jestures, but i shoot like i am shooting film, i dont blast away, each shot is a
strategic strike! i did a 13pg albumn, probably having 30-40 shots in it, 10-20 of those
really good ones that i would be very proud of, the other 20 being good and satisfying my
client.
i remember shooting film, if i had 1 great shot per roll 36exp i was happy!
