1.
Maybe he called the timecheck number, but notice, he's wearing a watch---lol

 2.
Only Rolleiflexes take pics of scantily clad women???

 3.
Do you roll your own film cassetts. Maybe its something mechanical in the cartridge that only shows up at the last frame before rewind. Like, if the felt lip of the casette is loose, when you change directions to rewind, it may stick into the film.

 4.
FWIW--I have used several Tamron Adaptall lenses on the Leica R bodies I own, and am very impressed both with the interchangeable mount system, and the quality of the images. I used these, because Leica glass was out of my price comfort zone. I do agree that it is probably a matter of all three having duds and wows, but I have never been dissatisfied with a Tamron. And just because my uncle owns the company, this is not a biased view.

 5.
Budget is not an issue (but don't tell my wife). I'm really a snapshooter. Grandkids, nature, car shows. Nothing very sophisticated. I realize that my Fuji X10 can handle all that. I also currently have a Sony Alpha, an earlier 10MP one. I guess I'm trying to cut the size of my outfit, without cutting quality. I think I've had my question answered. I have been admiring the Fuji lineup. I'll devode some time to looking at their various offerings. Thank you all for the input.

 6.
I'm looking for recommendations of a new rangefinder type digital camera. Not that it would have an actual rangefinder, but I do want a viewfinder, either real of EVF are both acceptable. The thing I really want is an APS-C size sensor. Knowing the depth of experience on Photo Net, I know you folks will provide some useful suggestions for me to look into. Thank you all in advance, for any help you can provide.

 7.
Today, I discovered that KEH discontinued the "classic KEH" option on their new site. I suppose i didn't give it enough of a chance, but I can't find anything on that site. Too bad, it was a great store shopping experience before.

 8.
I believe you are being waaaayyyy tooooooo fussy about the cleanliness issue. You shouldn't have to clean a lens any more than quarterly. Unless you dive into trash heaps with it. And even then, you have a filter on it!! Be a lot less obsessive and enjoy the photography more. A few specs of dust wouldn't even show on a print.

 9.
Great article Mark!! I see some familiar items in the ads. My first enlarger, bought at a flea market was the Federal (purchased by me in 1978). I used it to cut my teeth on before my better color enlargers. Lots of fun back then. If they could only make inkjet ink smell like developer and fixer maybe it would feel more familiar.

 10.
OFF TOPIC ALERT---What brand/type guitar is Kurt Rosenwinkle playing. Looks like a violin tailpiece stuck on the back??

 11.
Thank you both for your responses. I probably should have gone to the local camera shop to try it on for size, but I know I wanted a used one and I don't feel it's good form to handle with no chance of them ever getting the sale. Besides, I'll cope, and eventually it'll become less an issue. I've seen those grips, but that price is 25% of the cost of the camera. I will look for used oned there also.

 12.
I just received my Fujifilm X10. I've been wanting one since first seeing the ads, but held off until I could get a good used one at an affordable price. (budget conscious wife) I bought this one from KEH, and as a plug for them, it was graded very generously, and even came with original box. When I opened the box, I was surprised at how small the camera is. Looking at the ads, and the retro styling, my minds eye said it would be on the order of a Leica M3. I was so wrong. It is tiny in comparison. My disappointment also stems from the size. I have a previously purchased Fuji Stereo Digital, and this one is afflicted with the same issue. Fuji likes to place buttons out at the fringes of the back space, so effectively, there is no comfortable way to grip the camera. Another negative point is the manual. Maybe it's because the camera is brimming with features (some I will never use) but in my mind, the manual is terrible. Now the appreciation. The camera is fantastic. F2 lens, zoom smooth as silk. The few pictures I took for practice looked spot on. And, the response time is truly AMAZING. instant on, virtually zero shutter lag. I'm happier than a pig in stuff, and now considering the X20. Anyone want to buy a couple DSLRs?

 13.
And to think, just 3 years ago i spend $1400 on the Fuji 3D still camera and viewer.

 14.
Well, I guess I have my answer, and I sincerely hope the webmaster at KEH follows Photo.net to see what the buzz is on the new site. Kind of reminds me of a blonde I dated once. Great looking, but!!!

 15.
The later version you mentioned came in two configurations. One for "full frame" and the "half frame" of the earlier one. All they had to do was extend the rack that advanced the film.

 16.
This could probably go into any or all forums. What do you think of KEH's new site. I'll wait til i see your comments before i give mine, as not to bias your responses.

 17.
I'd buy a good point and shoot, and sit on a beach somewhere sipping Coronas and taking pics of whatever passed my way (wink wink)

 18.
Quite an impressive performer. And I think it looks great. You always seem to get the best kept examples of gear. Show us some of your dogs sometime, just so we don't keep drooling over the pristine stuff. Great post!

 19.
Amazing to me that the >$600 is not an asking price. There are 12 bids, so it was run up to that!!!

 20.
It doesn't even seem like the airbag went off on the Jeep. That could have prevented some damage if he/she couldn't see after the first hit. Well, actually he couldn't see before the first hit, but an airbag might have stopped him there.

 21.
Fujifilm X20. Around the price you are considering. Very good picture taker, and a very handsome retro styled camera. Classy.

 22.
I recently picked up a K1000. All speeds seem OK after a bit of exercise, and it cleaned up pretty well with just some windex and water. There is a faint smell of mildew, so it's obvious this was stored in less than ideal conditions. $10 for the body was worth a shot. My question is that I see faint moisture marks on the chrome around the pentaprism. They didn't come off with the windex, and I didn't want to take steel wool to it just yet. Does anyone know of a solution that will remove the faint stains?

 23.
Adapter in with a dot of crazy glue should solve the unintended removal hassle
