    I like the idea of the picture, just one thing I'm wondering: on what basis you chose the cropping? Compositionwise I don't get it, the balance is missing.

    Picture does not become BW by taking away the colours. The best BW result comes with BW film or with some PS. I would also reconsider the cropping, picture seems to be a bit unbalanced. DOF is good, short, as in portraits it should be. I hope this helped.

    For aesthetics and technique of this picture I'd give 6/7, maybe even 7/7. Picture is exactly a standard studio portrait. Well done. I just find it really boring.
