And a "wow" from me as well. The framing of those dunes do make them look like rolling waves in an amber sea. And I especially like the coarse/grainy/noisy texture and square framing. A beautiful photo.

The lines are really lovely the way the hair frames your face and the twist of your neck creates two beautiful curves. A truly wonderful portrait.

She is a beauty :) And you captured her in an honest way. Great choice in framing.

You should be proud... they are both beautiful. You did the artist's work great justice by portraying it in an equally creative and original artistic manner.

A really stunning photo. The low perspective, selective focus and color palette all work beautifully together.

Another original and creative beauty.

Wonderfully creative and original. With a triple exposure, this was a very difficult composition to pre-visualize and pull off the exposure as beautifully as you did. A real work of art.

The symbolism may be obvious, but it still works well.
I know you just got a new "digi-toy", but it would be great to see you still working with film as well.

Hello Ross,
Thanks for the vist and kind words. That bio photo of you on the Chilkoot Trail is impressive!
You should for sure seriously consider the winter Ferry trip you mentioned. This place is so beautiful in the winter... I almost wish the summer would never happen at all. I really suffer through the summer months with all of the craziness from the cruise ships, and I count the days until they leave. If you need any information on the AK Ferry, let me know and I'd be happy to mail it to you.
Cheers for now,
Mike

This image, along with the rest in the series, are just amazing Kurt. Perfectly composed and exposed. I especially love how Cassiopeia jumps out at you in this photo.
Great work as always,

Hey Kurt... always great to hear from you.
I was just checking out your new astro-images and they are awesome!! The "midnight surf" images are amazing.
It has been a good hard winter. In fact, it is dumping snow as I write this... got a foot today, and will probably get another foot tonight. But that is great since the last few winters here have been very warm and wet. Cold and snowy are how winters are supposed to be, and I've been having fun snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. The house has been pretty idle the past few months, since the only way to get up there now is on snowshoes, and it's not yet heated. But I'll be jumping back into it next month. Lots of wolf tracks up there in the snow last week when I checked on it, so I've got some "friends" watching the place for me :-)
Let me know when you'll be moving into the neighborhood,
Mike

You framed this image beautifully by including a very nice foreground, and the exposure is perfect. Great capture.

The DOF, framing, tones, light, forms and textures are all just brilliant in this photo. Couldn't be any better.
