Magic indeed. The great selective focus adds to the dreamy impact of the image.

Thank you Mike and Gail for the vist and the comments.
The best advice I can give when it comes to the aurora (more than equipment or anything else), is patience. Just keep looking and sooner or later your efforts will pay off. And the aurora is always worth the time and effort.
Warm regards,

A stunning photo. Way to put yourself at the right place, at the right time.

Thank you Tatjana. Sometimes I think the softer and less dramatic auroras are even more pretty than the bold ones. Glad you liked it as well :-)

This is a stunning image that captures that dramatic landscape beautifully. Perfect framing.

A beautiful place, and a beautifully composed photograph. The polarizer really help to saturate the colors. A great photo.

This is a wonderful image, with great depth and many layers that lead the viewer deeper into the composition. The intense color of the foreground is beautifully complimented by the neutral, but still rich background. Great photo.

The better question is,... do you like it? If so, then that is all that matters, even if others have done similar compositions before. Compose whatever attracts you and don't worry if it has been "done" before or not. I think it is a very well seen and framed photo... nicely proportioned and inviting to the viewer.

A nice composition. I don't know if there is too much more you could have done with it. Maybe a little less of the foreground since there isn't much there of interest? (besides the tree shadow). And maybe using a polarizing filter would have darkened the blue sky and given more contrast to the clouds... making them "pop".

No matter what the subject, you always create a beautiful and unique image. The soft focus is dreamy and perfect, and including that extra level complimentary green above her head really makes her red hair pop out. Really beautiful.

Just a beautiful winter scene. You incorporated all of the elements necessary to give depth, movement and interest into a composition that might otherwise seem "flat". Great eye and a wonderful photo.

A beautiful and unique work of art.

Thank you Christina. This photo doesn't get much attention, but it's one of my favourites. Glad you like it as well :-)

A stunningly beautiful image perfectly composed and framed, and the long exposure really helps create the soft moody atmosphere.
