1.
I shoot high school football every Friday and was hoping this would be a good second body to use for sideline and crowd shots, and maybe an occasional action shot using the 70-200mm f/2.8 when the action is close to my side of the field. Currently I use my D800E for this purpose with good results, other than action shots requiring a higher frame rate. I was hoping the D750 would deliver more than 6.5 fps.
Shun, what level of weather sealing is used with the D750? I haven't seen that in the press release, or just overlooked it.

 2.
This is the results using the TC-14E III and same method. Each shot is shown at 100% crop. I noticed that using the new III version delivers a cleaner background in my opinion, and also slightly brighter. I earlier shot a printed article taped to the wall and noticed the same results with that as well. Now whether it is enough to warrant the expense of the new version will be a personal decision. I will try this weekend to do some test shots using the new 300mm 2.8 VR lens, and time permitting the 600mm 4.0 as well.

 3.
I was able tonight to get some comparison shots of the TC-14E II vs the TC-14E III. I used both on a D7100 with the new 80-400mm VR lens. I mounted them on a tripod and turned VR off, manually focused and used MUP. Attached is the results using the TC-14E II. I will follow with the results using the new TC-14E III.

 4.
I will try to get some test shots with both the TC II and TC III later today. It is very overcast here today, so I may try to do some shots inside on a tripod. I will also use the tripod outside as Kent suggested weather permitting.

 5.
Shun, I will try to do that tomorrow if I can get a few minutes during the day. I have the TC-14E II and will compare the two on a common target. In the next week or so I also want to try it with my 600mm on the D7100.

 6.
Received the new TC-14E III late last week and got a chance to play with it today for about 10 minutes. I paired it with the new 80-400mm G lens with VR on. I put the combination on my D7100 and got a few quick shots. I am posting one that was taken handheld at f/8 (of course), 1/200 sec and ISO 400. The posted shot has been cropped slightly (about 30%), so keep that in mind. I will leave it up to each reader to determine whether the quality is what they would expect, but for such a quick shot taken handheld I was pleased. Post processing was just my standard sharpening using Capture NX2.

 7.
Ray, I have owned several Nikon pro and prosumer bodies over the years and have experienced the same issue with most of them from time to time. I just turn the camera off then back on and it then works. I have also sometimes just waited several seconds and it would work again as well. Not sure what is happening but assume the processor is busy doing something else. I'm not sure I would send my camera in for this. You might want to first give Nikon a call and see if they can give you an explanation.

 8.
Just took a look at my 70-200mm f/2.8 VRII and can see dozens of dust flecks inside on the elements. I purchased it when the VRII version first came out. This is perfectly normal and doesn't affect picture quality for me at all. If you really want to freak out, shine a flashlight into the front of the lens and you'll probably see more than one speck. In fact if I'm not mistaken there was a lot of blog talk when this lens first came out about specks inside the lens. I believe Nikon's response was that it was a normal part of the production process, or something like that. It is a great lens. Just enjoy it.

 10.
I always shoot with my cards in backup mode. Based on the importance of the trip/shoot, I then download them to my laptop at the end of the day. From there I transfer to an external drive for later transfer to my desktop at home. I also have a high capacity fast (for a flash drive) USB flash drive that I use on some occasions. I never erase the original cards until my files are on at least three separate devices. When flying, all of these backup devices are with me in my carry-on along with my camera gear. As an added precaution when traveling I also upload the really important shots to my website just in case. A lot of work? Probably. But when it is a once in a lifetime trip or something similarly as important you can't have too many backups in my opinion.

 12.
I just noticed that Nikon has come out with a new GPS unit, the GP-1A. What caught my eye was that it is selling for $100 more than the GP-1 unit at online stores. I thought it must have some great new feature for the additional money, but it appears to be the same unit. It does show that it comes with a 10 pin cable to connect it to the D600 body. It also shows it is compatible with older bodies that have 10 pin connectors as well. Does anyone know if the D600 has a different 10 pin connector than previous bodies? The new 10 pin cable sells alone for $69, so why wouldn't you just purchase the GP-1 unit for $100 less plus the new $69 cable? I have been a Nikon user for about 30 years, but their people who are setting accessory pricing are beginning to make me wonder. The new battery grip for the D7100 priced at $299 at least shows that maybe they learned their lesson with the overpriced D800 grip.
