I gave this image 7's and then checked your portfolio. In my opinion, this image really stands out among your recent work because of the color tones and your successful use of shadow. Some of your other images would have popped more with similar treatment... Take care and congrats, Glenn

Cyn, it is good to see your work here! I don't remember this as being the style you usually do but that is neither here nor there.... very nice concept and very captivating image. Probably the only crit would that detail is lost in the highlights. Can't wait to see some more! Glenn
  1. Thank you Jeff, Michael, and Steve. Michael, yes you are probably right about that face - If I could get this uncooperative model (my daughter of course) to actually listen to me then I might get something then! Glenn
  2. Thanks Anthony, and everyone. I do have a much easier time with photomatix, yes. I am actually surprised that nobody else has come out with software that really really offers in depth tweaks for this type of technique. I have seen one software that takes care of ghosting but it was very difficult for me to use. I hope someone else comes up with something... but then again... Glenn

Hope you like another one of my interior panoramas! This is 27

shots merged and stitched. Take care - Glenn. And I left the edges

of the image 'as is' because it usually takes something out of the

image when I try to cut it straight...

  3. Thank you all so much. Yes, this was done with an hdr program - photomatix. And yes, the haloes are a problem I worked on for a while. These always look better in print... perhaps the ink bleed covers the haloes a little... Anyway, I appreciate the comments and hope to do more of this kind of work. Glenn
  4. Firstly, to give anything less than 6's is a complete insult to your efforts here. If anyone rating would just step back and think for a moment about 'photography' and the fact that someone can put together this many images and that this could be displayed on an entire wall.... anyway... I ramble, and since I have been doing some hdr panoramas lately and am beginning to understand the enormous potential... Keep up the good work, and thank you so much for the tip on blending layers without hdr... if I understand what you are inferring, you are using 'blend if' under blending options perhaps, taking detail from the highlights or shadows where necessary??? Anyway, I will keep working on my own but I am not sure if I will ever try almost 300 images - lol! Take care, Glenn

So original to Donibane... I am not sure why there are so few ratings, probably just that nobody knows exactly how to critique originality. How is your family Donibane? Sorry I have not commented much - seems more to do with the continual internal struggles of each of us artists than anything else... we just have to keep working I suppose, hoping we get better. Anyway, bak to the image - so vibrant, interesting. More of a mandala than anything else, something to meditate on. I really would like to buy one of these images some day soon... Take care, Glenn
