  1. Your low-light stuff looks pretty impressive to me! If you can do that stuff, you can do

weddings. After all that craziness you've photographed, you might get a little bored with

    weddings, though :)

Daytime stuff is waaaaay easier than nighttime stuff. So if you've got nighttime stuff down

(and it looks like you do!) you'll do fine with daytime. The 2nd shooting will give you more

of an idea and I'm sure you'll be ready by August to try one on your own.

Good luck! Let us know how it goes! :)

  2. Hey Sara, I was just accepted a few weeks ago. I applied on a Friday and heard back from

them the next Tuesday morning. It was pretty quick! That was right before the holidays

though, so maybe they've been backed up.

List your site so we can go check it out!

    Good luck!

    Sarah :)

  3. I got the same follow up about HOT & SIZZLING photography, too! :) That one was pretty

    damn funny!

    My Second Email :

Wow, i'm very glad you will be available on my wedding date. I will like Basic wedding with

photo cd $1000 for my wedding event that won't be more than 6 hours of hot and sizzling

photography as i will be sending some pictures to my wife's family in Brazil and Germany

and also would love my special package to include a parent's album and all copy of images

    on DVD and CD.

Well more about me, i currently reside in Ireland, Dublin and my wife has travelled to

Nigeria for shopping but we will be having our wedding event in Tampa, Fl and we'll be

having our honeymoon in thesame hotel we're having our wedding ceremony. I'm a pretty

laid back person, easygoing, quite outgoing and well mannered. I believe in the law of

karma, that is do unto others what you want to be done unto you and also that what goes

around comes around. My best feature is my Honesty! I believe honesty is the best legacy.

I am sure you will not regret working for me on my wedding event because i'm willing to

take good care of your team and also i will request for the best price from your studio

because i wouldn't like to look elsewhere.

Please get back to me with your best pricing rate for the package that includes everything

that i've listed, i'm in a haste. Thanks

Bummer, huh? In any case, good luck with your business!

  6. You got your overnight prints cards today??? I ordered mine on the 28th and the tracking

says they won't be here until next week. I'm a little irked about that. Oh, well

I like the B&W card with the sans serif font that someone up there did for you. Go with

    something like that!!

  7. I think about that sometimes, too. The only photo I have of my dad's mother is from the day

she was married. One single picture. That's it. I cannot tell you how much I love that photo.

The "work" we do today might end up being someone's favorite possession 30, 40, 50 years

from now. How awesome is that?

And people complain we charge too much.

  8. Totally off subject, but the last couple of posts reminded me of an episode of Judge Alex I

saw the other day. This girl took the most HORRRRRRIBLE wedding photos ever. She

showed up to the wedding with a BAG FULL of DISPOSABLE CAMERAS and said her

equipment had been stolen a few days earlier. When they got mad at her for taking such

terrible pics (they had paid her like $1000!) she said they should be grateful that she had

showed up at all and saved the day ... that she could have just said her equipment was

stolen and sorry, she couldn't do it. She kept calling herself a hero.

    Obviously, she lost.

At least that didn't happen to you Jim!

    I love court shows :)
