    Yes, this is a very static shot. Both this and "Bite" were shots I wasn't going to post on critiques, because I wasn't 100% happy with the final shot, but I figured maybe that was a good reason to post them after all. "Bite" was unfortunately out of focus,, but I found the subject matter interesting. Thanks for your comments, which I will surely keep in mind next time I have a simple subject. Oh, and I really like "Eye of the Beholder"

    This is actually the wall of my house, which up close looks like snow. I've never seen a spider like this in my part of the world. Nice pic you have of the furry caterpillar. You should post it!

    Thanks. I slightly adjusted the levels and contrast a bit to bring out the detail of the 'rays', but it was truly as beautiful as it appears, and colors are true. I do wish there was a different foreground as well. I

    Beautiful. The green is great; detail and composition also very good. On the border,I basically like it. I've just begun to experiment with different borders,

    and I like and use this style often. That being said, it looks like you put an embossing effect on the outside edge of black, and I think maybe its a little destracting. I'd say go solid black; if anything, maybe put a low intensity stroke somewhere in there. Sometimes embossing on the edge of the photo itself works though. My inexperienced opinion, but great pic regardless.
